Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I went with fabspeed mufflers mainly because they were cheaper than PSE - didn't work out because the performance differential was large
There are a few vendors on ebay that have painted trim pieces (interior) that are priced very reasonably....I suppose I should but one, and "eat" it if it doesn't look good....one guy has batwings with a decal of your model...it looks good in the picture, but who knows.....
Has anyone bought any pieces and gotten burned?
As far as interior pieces finished in custom/factory trim, Eric the Plug Guy is the best around. Everyone on Rennlist seems to be more than happy dealing with him.
I echo what the others have said. Most of that crap is junk made by wanna be painters. If you want colored pieces in factory paint talk to Eric........unless you don't want it done right
Also, the bulk of that crap is being sold by a userID named "dendoonelhilwa". This guy also has about 4 or 5 other aliases he sells under. MANY people have been buned by this guy big time on eBay to the point several were considering a trip to pay him a visit. There was a few threads last year about this guy and some of the stories.
Well--we will see b/c I purchased 2 pieces from him (dendoonelhilwa). He told me that they are oem pieces that he paints in his bodyshop and that the quality rivals Porche's paint job. I purchased console and door handle kit. Haven't received them yet. I will post when they arrive.
Jeff, I sure hope they turn out great for you though. As most will agree that about the best painting of factory stuff that rivals the OEM painted pieces are done by Eric at bumperplugs and not this shady character on eBay.
I've bought stuff from a user called 'asimplechef' on ebay, the quality is pretty reasonable and the guys gives good instructions for fitting
although i'm sure the Eric the bumper plug guys' stuff is higher quality, I cannot justify the 200-300% price delta. I've noticed that on the website as well as the parts you can buy there is a place you can get a quote form.... this may be cheaper and I will investigate also
is there a rennlist member discount for bumperplugs?
Can't comment on "asimplechef" but I can say that he is a recent player in the painting of pieces barrage that has hit eBay. He and that other shady character are the 2 main guys hawking that crap. THe next pieces I get done will be through Eric. I would rather pay a few $$$ more to ensure quality work that lasts. And Eric stands behind his stuff.
have you seen his work? if not then i'm not sure you're qualified to comment
I personally thought it was good work relative to the price paid.
then again I don't know what metrics you are measuring the workmanship on - I could have much lower expectations of quality
if you pay Honda price you can't expect Audi quality
I didn't say I could comment on asimplechef. Didn't you read my post. Or did you just quote it? However, I have seen the other guys work and compared it to the factory stuff as well as seeing Eric's work. Hands down, Eric has the best comparible work to OEM.
But you do make a good point (echoing what I already said). You pay for what you get.
I've purchased several items from this guy. While they weren't bad, they weren't excellent either. I noticed on some of the pieces he doesn't watch his edges very well, and the overall finish was less than stellar. He always used Porsche OEM pieces.
However I was never "burned" on a transaction. Items were delivered well packed and arrived quickly.
Good luck...hopefully you'll be happy.
I have also bought pieces from this person and the quality is always decent. Shipping was always negotiable and typically necessary, but overall they were decent even considering the great orangepeal
I have bought a painted center console from dendoonelhilwa, and it looked like it was painted in his dirty, dusty garage (lot's of paint defects). I should not complain as it was inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.
I would go with Eric the plug guy for any real stuff that should be top quality - he seems to be VERY well respected here and at other sites.
Eric is in a league by himself as far as quality and service is concerned.....silver and other colors
.
However before Eric expanded his business, I bought few pieces from kkporsche (Prestige parts) which included a 911 batwing that is good quality
I also bought a couple of pieces from "A simple Chef" He lives in the Boston area and because I needed the pieces in a hurry he had his dad drive them down to me on the Cape in his 03 white GT3.
That was good quality.
I got a couple of low dollar items - door airbag caps and speaker grills to see what the finish was like - no complaints - now I just have to install the bloody things
IU have to say though - number 1 interior upgrade.....
aluminum dial covers from departstop
there is no substitute - especially as you have to keep an eye on the speedo in order to avoid run-ins with po-po
Dendoonelhilwa AKA one_bad_GT2 AKA Hani E. is a crook. There are several threads on six speed online that document this. He ripped off me, Sharkey, tme, and others. He uses several aliases. His auctions are always private. He uses addresses in Florida and New Jersey. He used to have the 6speed ID Hani/03C4S before he was banned. DO NOT DEAL WITH HIM.
well dendonelhilwa isn't a complete crook exactly.. sure his $20 shipping/handling charges are ridiculous, and when I wanted to buy a part from him that recently sold for auction at $25, he told me that I offered $80 last week when it sold for $80 on a previous auction.. so he wouldn't sell it for less than $80, etc.. his business ettiquette isn't exactly the best, but he does provide some parts you can't find anywhere else... he's OK.. nothing special as everyone is indicated, but does deliver on what he's ordered from what i've seen... and offers some parts in stock that nobody has... for some of us that don't have the patience to wait weeks for custom ordered parts to be custom painted at reasonable prices..
btw, does anyone know of any that can paint the speakers in the dash silver on the outside, leaving the inside the factory color?
phew
thats pretty ****ty
i was on ebay last night looking at his wares... glad i didn;t pull the trigger now!
asimplechef was nice to deal with, paid with paypal etc and stuff turned up.
I always pay with amex - any funny business - they can take care of it
only problem is he does not have as much to sell as regulalrly
absolutely
call them NOW and say theres fraudulent transaction - let their lawyers deal with this scamming lowlife loser
after reading the above liks it seems that people have been too easy on this guy (or hard on themselves)
I am going to wait till I get the parts or the 10 days from aution end which is Ebays waiting period to make a formal complaint. If parts are no show or quality sucks I'll pull the trigger with Visa
It just amazes me the faith some of you have in this loser. I mean come on, all the negative comments, feedback, threads, etc., and to save a buck you are willing to give it a shot. Any red flag like that I don't even think twice about running as far away as I can.
If you want cheap, then go buy the plain parts and paint them yourselves. At least you can only blame yourself for the crappy work (except you Eric
)
I'm one that had a "burn story" from this guy from NJ.... I purchased sport seats and he sent stocks.... LONG-STORY SHORT, he refunded some of the money but I was still left with a set of stock seats that I didn't need for $1,000 plus shipping....
Be careful,
-Eli
I wish I had seen this thread b/4 I purchased! All I can do now is wait and see. But you are right quality is most important, I mean it is second to price...
for most things you can break things down into
price/performance with the emphasis on price
or
price/performance with the emphasis on performance
and it just depends where you stand, some things are not that important and going with the emphasis on price is acceptable - in the case of painted items from ebay (as long as the seller is not as ***)
I went with fabspeed mufflers mainly because they were cheaper than PSE - didn't work out because the performance differential was large
daewandoo delivered 4 parts to me as ordered... as said previously, you get what you pay for.. i did two seperate transasctions and both came as pictured, and as ordered.. no real complaints here...
I'm glad to hear it.... for a while this guy was getting a real bad wrap..... and for good reason. If it's getting better then better for him and everyone he deals with.
If you perform a search here or 6-speed "I forget" you might find some old burnt customers of his....

UPDATE!!!!
I never did receive my pieces from this guy (dendoonelhilw) so I complained to paypal. Next thing I know the guy emails me all pissed off that I complained. Real rude but here's the thing.....He refunds me all my money!
So the end of the story is that the guy did not keep his word on anything(supposed to be 2nd day air shipped out the next day and ending up being a weeks or more) but I got my money back so I guess I'm lucky.
So now I need to get the console and everyone is talking about Eric the Plug guy but for what he charges, I can go just a little more and buy from suncoast and not have to deal with being w/o my console or core exchanges. I will call sunset in Oregon today to see what his price is....whadayathink?
I am amazed he even refunded your money.
Now you know why his feedback is private! He tries to negotiate an out-of-eBay pruchase first then if not he will complete it inside eBay, but that promises nothing. Make sure you leave him the appropriate feedbackso his rating is affected.
I've dealt with "dendoodelhilwa" several times. I have good and bad experiences. At first he used to sell only excellent pieces from new cars (I got my OEM aluminum look doorhandles/cubby covers from him), then he got wise to painting pieces in alu and factory colors, and does a fair job. He also started listing things as "private", so you can't see feedback or who else is bidding. If you are patient, you can get parts very cheaply (by avoiding auctions with early high bidders), and the quality is passable. Once I bought OEM A/C vents in alu look from him and asked to return them because they were mostly black with silver slats (my mistake), and he offered me 60% of what I paid even though I was willing to refund all his expenses. I just re-listed them myself and sold them for what they had cost me. Buyer beware, but I think he does deliver (except for people like Eli who got burned).
Ruf_gt2 is somebody totally different--I have bought several "4S" decals from him, and he is OK.
ruf_gt2 is NOT somebody different by the way. Still him, he uses different user IDs, names, etc.
Trust me on this one. There was some serious "detective" work by several burned buyers and this thread was very detailed (over on 6speed) as to all his names, IDs, etc.
I really hope for the sake of the members here that he keeps his dealings clean. There's nothing like that gutt feeling after paying for something "you thought was great" that you can not use....

I found the real deal over at Suncoast from Rick. Arctic silver console for $395 with all the pieces and Alumilook doorkit for $371 Iam spending $250 more but I know the quality is up to par..It's a win for me
daekwokondiwodkowwodi or whatever does deliver, you just gotta keep bothering him sometimes... i did an off ebay transaction with ebay quasi-cash (based on trust) and he delivered... even without ebay item #s involved...
..he says it's shipped and it arrives 2 weeks later.. just keep bothering him and he comes through.. he does have over 450 transactions and only 14 negatives.. which isn't THAT bad.. I don't think he wants to lose that account, with that many sales on it...
to each their own.. he does have some good deals, and his quality is fair.. i wouldnt' buy a center console from him.. but my storage shelf is very nice.. no complaints here..
Bob, 440 of those 450 transactions are for his cheapo cell phone covers not high dollar questionable porsche parts. Besides, you shouldn't have to keep begging for your parts to be shipped. If that is the case tell him you will send payment when you receive the parts. See my point.
Anyway, no use getting in a pissin contest about this jerkoff but like Jeff said, for only $250 more he got everything straight from Porsche with an impecable paint quality. Actually he will spend EXACTLY what he would have with that guy as long as he sells his bin covers and center console on eBay.
Moral to the story? If you want "fair" quality, hoping your parts arrive correctly, and **** poor customer service, then take those risks on your ricer accord, not your beautiful 911 !!!!!
Check this out---After he refunded me I got 2 unpaid item strikes against me. I have been spending lots of time responding and and dicking around with Ebay to straighten this out. Bob, I know what you said but the guy just plain lied. He charges for 2nd day but ships ground and ships it when he feels like it. In fact, I really don't know if he ever shipped anything to me.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!!
