Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Replace unnecessarily' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace unnecessarily' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Is there is known issue with the 996 tensioner tightening over time?

I am not aware of any tensioner that will tighten over time, they usually looses tension.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This is the 2nd replacement water pump that is "leaking". Don't see any coolant on the floor, just see a lot of white residue all around the water pump and looks like they are coming out from the pulley shaft, just like the previous one.
Have anyone had repeated water pump failures? Am I doing something wrong with the coolant, bleeding process?
Here is a picture of the waterpump with all the white residue around it.
I don't find any coolant drops on the garage floor, only rarely I smell coolant after some hard drive when I come to a stop.
Could it be possible that I overfilled the coolant reservoir and there are so much pressure build up that it is coming out of the water pump bearing shaft?
Not gaskets, it is very obvious that it was came out of the bearing shaft area just like the previous one that I replaced. The factory water pump's bearing failed, so there was no question as the pulley wiggled and made noise. But the subsequent replacements are both leaking from the pump shaft bearing area. At least edvidence of leak, not a running leak.
Porsche will not authorize a warranty replacement unless there are
wet
drops of coolant visible on the housing. They claim the dry residue is normal.

Belt oo tight? How is that possible? Is there is known issue with the 996 tensioner tightening over time? I am not aware of any tensioner that will tighten over time, they usually looses tension.
