Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am looking at getting the PSE for my car. Any ideas as to where the best price is? Anyone interested interested in trying to put together a group buy?

POST 2Original post

Before I bought mine a few weeks ago, I researched here and the last group buy was $1295 to your door from Brandywine Porsche (other than one or two anomalies that got theirs from some unusual event like Ebay for less than 1k or free) I bought mine as a single non-group buy purchase from By Design for $1500, plus $150 for installation. So somewhere between $1295 and 1500 seems to be a good range depending on group buy prices versus single.

POST 3Original post

I received mine today from Sunset Imports for $1558 + $47 shipping to Virginia. I emailed Brandywine and never got a reply. Gert at Carnewal would not come down at all from his regular price listed on his Carnewal website. The folks at Sunset are super nice and seem to have their act together. I'd highly recommend them. (No affiation.) I hope that helps, Mark

POST 4Original post

I got mine from Brandywine (Justin Lane) for $1550.00 I believe there was a price increase at some stage. I usually email Justin direct and have no issues. Other places never want to reply to my emails. His email address is [email removed] I am sure he is willing to help out a group buy or individual.

POST 5Original post

The price increase is probably because of the Euro ollar rates.

POST 6Original post

Keep me posted, I'm in if we can get it for less than $1500. After watching this board, I called Brandywine but they quoted $1800.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Suncoast has them on their website for $1,665 with the "Sport Sound Deactivation Switch". I will call in the AM and see what their price is without the switch and to see if they can get us a better price if we can order 5-10 of them. I will post as soon as I speak with them.

POST 8Original post

Ken, Did you speak to Justin Lane or his side kick Justin Scherer? I have found Justin Lane to be quite reasonable in dealing with. I have no affiliation with Brandywine (considering I am in Australia ) just promoting a good service

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not yet. I was going to call them tomorrow also. They have the PSE on EBAY for $1,595. I just purchased the B&M short shifter from them earlier today that they had on EBAY for $199.

POST 10Original post

When I was debating who to get my PSE from a couple weeks ago, I checked Brandywine and their price was still $1595 plus about $60 to ship out to california. They must have recently raised the price. Heck, if they're up to $1800 right now, the single item purchase price I paid of $1500 at By Design seems like a good deal, even with the tax since I'm right here in Calif. I have no affiliiation other than being happy with the work and reasonable cost they charged me to install ($150), so it might be worth calling them up - ask to speak to Nigel or Michael and see if you can bargain a price lower than $1500. Maybe get it so that PSE plus shipping plus any tax if applicable all comes out to flat $1500 to your door.

POST 11Original post

To be honest, I am not sure who I talked to at Brandywine. I got a quote of $1800 for PSE and $1000 for the Alum sport steering wheel. I am still in if we can get it for around $1500 (with the switch). Let me know.

POST 12Original post

talk to justin at brandwine i got mine for $1500 (to the door). local install at P dealer $160.00. it sounds great

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just spoke to Brandywine. They don't have any left at the $1,500 price. The best that they could do was $1,649, plus shipping. However, I just spoke to Jeff at Sunset Imports in Oregon. ([phone removed]). He will sell them for $1,500, plus shipping ($30-$40 estimate). This is the full set including all the wiring. He has a limited number left, about 10, and will honor this price through the end of the month as long as he doesn't sell out. So give him a call. Best of luck and I hope I was able to do OK for all of you.

POST 14Original post

I spoke to Justin and they are willing to do $1499.95 delivered to my door if we put something together. I think a 10 person group buy is reasonable. What do you think?
