I always take a small trolley jack and wood blocks to drive onto in case i need to jack to car up, or for changing wheels.

I am off to Germany and Belgium in May for a weekend of action
at Spa and The Ring' with a group of 5 other Porsche owners and a couple of Lotus owners.
Has anyone done this trip before and if so what should I be taking in the car in case of an emergency with the car etc and what personal kit will I need (helmet etc).
Have already got some tyre sealant from Gert but am thinking about oil, type pump, torque wrench etc.

What dates are you at Spa? The UK GT3 gang will be there on the 26/27th of May.
With regards to stuff to take, i always take a full set of spanners and sockets, torque wrench, zip ties, WD40, working gloves, oil ect. A spare set of brake pads is not a bad idea if you are running low your fitted ones. I always take a small trolley jack and wood blocks to drive onto in case i need to jack to car up, or for changing wheels. Take a collapsible folding chair as well. Nice for lazing in the pits with! Also, windsreen cleaning gear is handy, as the bugs and flying pieces of rubber are a bit ferocious at that time of year

We will be there on the Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd May so will miss you by days. Shame.
How many of you are going? We have a group of 6 - 8 cars going and hopefully a chap with a GT3 RS will be joining us too.

We set off from the UK on Monday 24th, arriving in Spa late afternoon. We will spend Tuesday hooning around the countryside, getting all hot and bothered ready for Spa. At the moment, there is about 13 cars going, including loads of Gt3 RS's. Should be a giggle.

We will pass enroute somewhere I am sure as we will be travelling back on the 24th to catch the 4pm chunnel.
It is my first time at Spa and the Ring so will be taking it easy for the whole time as it is a long way home with a knackered car! I will leave the "racing" to the regulars that have been going for the past few years.

You will love Spa. Run down from the La Source haipin into Eau rouge is incredible, just dont go too mad out of Eau Rouge, it bites!
Barrelling down to the entry of Eau Rouge inches from the wall on the right is stunning, and a lot steeper than it looks on the telly.After that, it's Pouhon and Stavelot which are the real sweaty hand corners, but simply brilliant.
After Spa, our European tour of domination heads off to the Bugatti circuit at Le Mans in June

We will be hitting Spa on the Saturday if all goes according to plan with a trip to the Ring on the Sunday. Never been before so don't know about track availability at weekends (in particular that weekend), but the organiser has been in touch with the various locations we are visiting and assured me that we will get the chance to drive on the circuits.
Thanks for the tip though as I may just go and check this one out myself.

Ollie, the nordshliefe is open from 8am until 7.30pm on sunday the 23rd. I'd really recommend getting there at opening time to get a few clear laps in before the locals arrive at around 10am.

one more word of warning. DONT go too fast thru belgium. Their Police aren't well known for their sense of humour. Last time out, one of their finest was so impressed with my driving, he awarded me a �275 prize!!
They know when the track days are on and sit on the motorway waiting. As there is only two ways to get there, they are onto a winner!.
FYI the limit in Belgium is 120KPH
