Need more space in the dash - I know about the pocket that replaces the CD holder -- But if I change the sound system can I take out the cup holders and move the ACC unit up above -- I see this set-up in some models.

But with the xenon headlights I was looking for DRL -- I would think they would use the Halogen high bulb.

I just got back from a little road trip to the north in my new to me 01 TT -- I do not know how any one could own this car and only drive it 800 miles per year! But that is why I bought it vs the same price for a new non TT.
I must add that after the trip I love the car with the TIP. I am still on the learning curve -- the cars power is is is -- no words fit! :]
I also just sent in my membership -- Thanks to the list for all the help in selection.
Questions:
1. In my driving (city traffic to highway) I have noticed that other drivers have a hard time seeing the car. It is most likely the fact that it is lower than the average car on the road and also A. Silver blends in -- Others on the list must notice this -- Yes? I normally always drive my cars with the headlights on - for saftey -- unless they have DRL. Does anyone know if they can be added (my SAAB was as simple as adding a relay) (My Jaguar - I could never get an answer to that question -- I just turn them on). But with the xenon headlights I was looking for DRL -- I would think they would use the Halogen high bulb.
2. The sound system must go -- I think the major problem is the speakers -- I have the standard system -- what is the best upgrade -- keeping it stock looking -- I am sure with some better speakers it would be fine. The FM tuner is also a little weak -- I would just get the Traffic pro but it looks like the same unit. Is the sound from the Traffic Pro any better!

I know in the 993s the only difference in the North American build for Canada and US was a relay that activated the DTRls. Problem was it activated the fog lights.
Re-traffic pro. I swapped out my CDR-220 for a traffic pro and didn't notice any difference..good or bad.
Re extra space. If you want to spend a few bucks get a Bird armrest. w/o the cupholder. Not cheap, but it does give you significantly more console space.
