Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

While I currently run teh car with the plug removed in the engine bay, sneaking out for early morning golf rounds require the quiet mode.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone have a picture of the PSE relay that is located under the dash and a location/picture of the pink wire that needs to be cut to take out the 35 to 50 mph quiet period? While I currently run teh car with the plug removed in the engine bay, sneaking out for early morning golf rounds require the quiet mode.

POST 2Original post

It's not a wire, it's a diode that you have to remove from the relay. Here is the thread on RennTech: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2470

Yes, and no. The diode is in the relay and is on the circuit that is the speed signal line. I would recommend desoldering the relay diode rather than cutting it.

Agreed, but since he was asking about the relay I assume that's what he was referring to (the diode, not the speed signal line). - Anthony

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I saw in a prior thread that cutting a pink wire would remove the speed sensor to the relay and remove the all the time quiet speed zone. Too much trouble with teh diode, I will just leave it loud.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
