Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

In the process of changing out the factory 92k mile shocks on my C4 to another set with only 14k miles on them. After putting the fronts back on I noticed that the springs position is different from right and left. The right side looks "correct" while the left side looks "wrong". Can someone check this against their car and see how their springs are oriented? Right side (Looks correct) Left side (Looks wrong)

POST 2Original post

as long as the bottom of the spring is in the "groove" your fine

POST 3Original post

Check that the end of the base of the spring is against the stop in the strut housing. I suppose it is possible to rotate the spring to the wrong place when puttin ghte assembley back to gether. I don't have a C4, but to me the right side looks wrong and the left looks right!
