It's about half the price as SRF I believe and you can buy the blue and gold colors to be sure you've changed the fluid.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As the thread title states....... What is your New Year Resolution pertaining to your Porsche? Or if you prefer, you can list a general resolution. If things continue to go well on the job front, mine resolution is to get a Porsche in 2010. Hopefully, this is one resolution I will be able to keep.

POST 2Original post

To drive it more, and wash and clean it less(at least for the winter months), and do a few more mods.

POST 3Original post

My resolution is to make sure TIM gets back in another Porsche!

POST 4Original post

My new year resolution is to find another job in Dallas so that I can enjoy my C2 Cab again year-round and of course be able to hang-out with Tim again too :-) Right now I am in cold and snowy Albany NY sniffff. Happy New Year everyone...

POST 5Original post

Mine is to get an Aero wing to go with my TechArt splitters and rocker covers (thanks for the info about those Thundertub). I think his looks sharp with the wing on there. Does anyone have one in Arctic Silver they want to get rid of?

POST 6Original post

Quotes source post: 7186704

I'll drink to that.

POST 7Original post

To drive it more, to rev it freely, to .... oh, damn. I just remembered, I sold it. Hey Tim, what are you doing up so early New Year's morning??

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 7186781

Went to bed at 11:30 last night and didn't get lucky! As usual, I woke up at 5:30 this morning.

POST 9Original post

Tim, Your resolution is the best! Mine is just to (Hold on to your hat Phil!) pile more miles mine!! and also spend some more quality time behind the wheel of the 86, I did not get that car out much last year.

POST 10Original post

Mine is to drive more and care less about the crap that get in the way of life.

POST 11Original post

Drive it less and spend more time with our baby.

POST 12Original post

To make it work or go down fighting.......... and to remember I tried my best wait NO NO NO Buy parts that Fit...... Yea, that's it

POST 13Original post

Add sway bars, better seats and (possibly) buy a trailer to make DEs even more fun.

POST 14Original post

Get the M030 and the plan is to do 4 DE's this year. Road America is one for sure. If I find some xtra scratch that my wife hasn't spent on her horse....... get some GT3 seats.

POST 15Original post

Sport seats, in graphite. I'd have more luck finding a sasquatch, but a guy can hope.

POST 16Original post

To spend more time with my beautiful triple black C2 Cab. She is clean and fully cover now, I want to undress her and drive her along the Pacific Highway Coast (PCH 1).

POST 17Original post

Not sayin' just sayin'.....that's kinda hot in a strange way.......

POST 21Original post

Quotes source post: 7187395

+1 Although, I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way, but the more I drive it on the track, the less I want to drive it on the road. Even if I go for a "spirited" drive, it doesn't even compare to the track.

POST 22Original post

Quotes source post: 7187447

Warning: Its a sliiipery slope!

POST 23Original post

To get a hardtop and winter rims/tires for my cab so I can drive it year round. It's been 3 weeks since I had mine out and I'm friggin dying over here!

POST 24Original post

Quotes source post: 7187624

I hear you on that - I'm contemplating putting winter tires on my turbo twists so that I can drive on salt free days.

POST 26Original post

Quotes source post: 7187447

I think you are in good company. Hence, the reason I purchased a dedicated race car. I have no desire to drive a fast car on the street these days.I went on one several years ago with a club and it got a little silly and dangerous at times. Aside from speeding tickets. I see no point in putting innocent bystanders in harms way during spirited drives. My wife is standing over my shoulder..

11:30?!? I beat you by an hour. My wife considers herself 'getting lucky' when I leave her alone.

POST 29Original post

^^^^ so thats the goal. Trying to get lucky? I need to put some sports cats on her.... this year def!

POST 31Original post

1. New summer tires 2. Fix a few scratches and other things on the paintwork 3. New windshield 4. New winter tires and rims. Ordered in priority where 1 is the highest =)

POST 32Original post

Quotes source post: 7187761

+1, So perhaps this year, although I might be off by a "few", sell the C4S and get a dedicated track car - they are a lot of fun!

POST 33Original post

1. 4 new summer times 2. oil change and new brake pads 3. new wheel brush and wash bucket 4. start looking at a new stereo to replace the mediocre Bose

POST 34 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 7189978

The replacement is called Porsche Sport Exhaust!

POST 35Original post

For now, buying all the safety equipment I need (rollbar, seats, harness, hans, etc.) so I feel more confident tracking, although I just bought most of it in the past couple days. Later this year, the plan is to upgrade to a GT3 & just switch all the safety equipment to the 3.

POST 37Original post

Quotes source post: 7190031

+1, I forgot to add that to the list!

POST 38Original post

I didn't get one in but if I hadn't of been wrestling things for the midnight hour to be prepped for, it would be to burn out the old tires on the car and get some new ones on. Pretty easy resolution.

POST 39Original post

1. set of rotors and pads for DEs that will start in April 2. change tranny oil before April 3. change to ATE brake fluid before April 4. resist spending money on mods

POST 40Original post

1. Get used to the new GT3 and dial it in. 2. Sell the 996 to a new home where it will be enjoyed. 3. As I am now a PCA DE Instructor, get every Green student to Blue by the end of their first weekend and no offs/incidents while I am in the right seat.

POST 41Original post

Quotes source post: 7191649

Are you going to use the ATE super blue racing? -

POST 42Original post

Get my 914 back together! Maybe get a new job, too. I'd like so spend more time with my family and enjoying my hobbies.

POST 43Original post

trading the 996 in for a range rover...... oeps

POST 44Original post

Quotes source post: 7191779

That was my intent. Ok for our cars? I've used it with success in the past on a few others vehicles.

POST 45Original post

Drive it more. I'd also like to make 2 DE's this year.

POST 47Original post

Quotes source post: 7193534

not to turn this into another "oil debate" but I have been thinking of the same fluid. Have not searched it yet.

POST 48Original post

I've used ATE Super Blue (and it's sister TYP 200 - they're the same stuff, just different colors, which is great for flushing!) for years and it's always performed very well for me. I've switched to newer technology on the track (SRF and Endless), but still use Super Blue in my street cars.

POST 50Original post

Quotes source post: 7193581

I've used it at Mid-Ohio for the last 4 years with a VW, Audi, and RX8 with no fluid fade issues. However it's DEs only, no actual racing. It's about half the price as SRF I believe and you can buy the blue and gold colors to be sure you've changed the fluid. I don't think that's necessary if the calipers get flushed 3-4x per year (at least for my limited track use).
