Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My lowly C4 gets left out in the boonies (I can use the exercise), but we probably have more room in Iowa.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I was coming back from racquetball and a dude was standing at my car checkin' it out. I walked up and he was like, "dude, is this your car?" I said "ya, whats up?" He said something like, what an amazing car, I NEVER see Turbo's. He was taken by it, for sure. He told me it was one of his favorite cars. He asked me a few questions about how it drove, how fast it was, you know, standard fare. We rapped for another few minutes.
Then he said, do you mind if I take some pics for my exotic car website? I was like cool, no prob. He took a few pics and I said, gotta run, but here's my email, send me the pics. Got home, had dinner then checked my email and to my surprise, he had taken a vid of me takin off. I had NO idea. Hah!
He didn't send me the link in the email but I requested it when I thanked him. I'll post it in this thread when he responds.
Made me realize, I gotta get some vids!!!

Update, just got his email response:

I've thought long and hard about getting exhaust. Remember, the 1st C4S I got that was a flood car, had the PSE, I LOVED IT!
and thanks for the compliment!
No doubt I'd love to have a black TT. Yours would do just fine for me
I must say that the one thing missing on an otherwise fine machine is the sound to match it. As is the case for my N/A 996 (working on it
).
Porsche fell WAY short in the exhaust note of non PSE 996's. They could have and should do something, anything and still stay within noise restrictions.
The stock sound is a complete disappointment from the fist time I heard it a few years back.
I was at a dealer when he started a 40th anniversary model for me. Man that sounded like crap, for sure not high end sports car. He gave it some gas and my disappointment was complete.
What kind of enthusiast in the market for an exotic/high end sports car wants a quiet non-refined VW like muffler sound?
If the PSE sound option is a ten, then a 6 or so for the standard would have been more worthy of a 911. At best I would give it a 2
Anyways...your TT is hot ArrOgant. Be careful in those parking lots, some crazy drivers speed right through them
cuz then if it were only 911s, then it'd be like checking out the wholefoods parking lot here in bellevue, wa full of other common german cars like your merc amgs, audis, bimmers.
wholefoods does sell some exotic fruits tho
Haaa!
Cool video, who needs a killer exhaust sound - I think the engine sound makes up for that in spades!
Good thing he has exotic cars on his site, could have been a local NAMBLA chapter!
nice site - great pix/vid.
I notice that he didn't blur out your Plate number. Maybe its just me but you took the time to do yourself on your avatar
Just a thought
^^^ I've never understood why someone would feel the need to blur out their license plate number when putting a picture of a car on the Internet. If you're worried about people knowing your plate number, you best just leave the car in the garage 24/7.
Someone shot a video of me leaving the local weekend Cars & Coffee gathering in Irvine, CA in my Ferrari.
I wasn't even aware of it until my friend noticed it and sent it to me, thought it was the funniest thing.
Need to go to 4:57 part of the video to see.

Loved it!
That yellow Ferrari sounded kind of rough, maybe operator error or the recording.
Different story on yours, no better sound than that, MUSICA PRIMAVERA!!
That Maserati had it going on as well...same for the Lambo. Italianos
what else can I say. I am a bit jealous by the way.
What a way to drink coffee
Yeah, the yellow Ferrari was suffering the classic symptom of the super sensitive ferrari drive by wire system. By no means that it is bad in any way, in matter of fact I love it. It is at least 3 times faster than Porsche's drive by wire and engine revs like nothing else in this world. Faster than any porsche with any LWF I have driven. If you have played the PS2 GT game, that's how a Ferrari motor revs. So if there are just some rocking motion or jerky motion with the gas pedal and frequency actually gets amplified from the gas pedal to the throttle body, that was the effect of it you heard on the yellow ferrari. If you kept your foot down the sin wave of the frequency gets bigger and bigger. I try to visit cars and coffee about 4 times a year, that place is amazing packed with awesome cars which makes my f-car look like a beater car. Noticed that I was hiding my face when I was exiting the parking lot. LOL!
I did notice you hiding your face, hopefully nobody saw you driving that beater
Awesome cars indeed, like that MB SLR or Porsche GT....poor bastards.
Interesting on that drive by wire effect, must be fun to learn how to be smooth in it. I'll have top stick to the PS2 for now
Unless, that is, you are open to a partial trade. I am talking about a very rare black/black 996 Aero w/13K miles, WOW!!! No misprints Robin.
Its practically calling your name, can you hear it? No more hiding from cameras!
Think about itbut don't screw around and make me wait too long, I might change my mind, not sure if I can hang being seen in that F-car.
As a matter of fact, now that I think about it, forget it.
I've canged my mind, sorry to lead you on
:
Dude.....................I was mearsuring the ground clearance on an 08 TT and it was but 4" at bottom of front spoiler.......how did you clear that curb?
2Nd Question:
What's all that smoke (dust) during you acceleration??
