Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My question is this: Can I use the Aux in for the MP3 player and also have the audio from the hands free car kit go through the stereo speakers?

I am currently using my Dell PDA for a MP3 source, but am planning to get an iRiver unit soon.

With the aux in from the dell I can listen to MP3's while also using the Nav with the voice commands.

I know that I can use the phone mute, but could not find anything on the phone kit audio output.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just ordered the Aux In adapter for the CDR-220 for my MP3 player. I am also going to install a hands free Blue Tooth car kit. My question is this: Can I use the Aux in for the MP3 player and also have the audio from the hands free car kit go through the stereo speakers? I know that I can use the phone mute, but could not find anything on the phone kit audio output.
I am guess I have to decide between either MP3 or the phone kit audio similar to the CD changer vs. MP3 issue, but am just not sure.
Thanks,
Kris
The Aux-in kit also includes a cable for wiring in a phone audio in signal, and audio muting when receiving a call.
You can have both the MP3 wired in and your mobile phone as well.
I have a 99 c2 cab.
I hooked up the Aux Input yesterday. Very easy, only took about 10 minutes. The only other question I have is the phone mute wire. The instructions indicated that this should go into the No. 3 hole in the Power plug, but there was already a wire in there. I thought I read somewhere that there is a phone mute wire under the console somewhere. I am assuming that is the wire that is already in the No. 3 hole in the plug.
The Aux Input sounds great. I am currently using my Dell PDA for a MP3 source, but am planning to get an iRiver unit soon. They have a 40G unit that has a nice remote I should be able to install somewhere on the center console to make selecting songs much easier. The only nice thing with the Dell is I also use it for Navigation. I have a Bluetooth GPS receiver that the Dell connects to and it works great (no wires)! With the aux in from the dell I can listen to MP3's while also using the Nav with the voice commands. Finding songs on the Dell is not user friendly and definitely not recommended while driving.
I will be installing a Bluetooth hands free cell kit in the next few weeks. Can't wait, it will be nice to have the phone automatically routed through the car whenever I get in it.
Thanks for your input.
