Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
Suspect material is blocking air flaps from routing heated air directly to cabin and instead is directing more air through A/C heat exchanger which makes the air into the cabin cooler.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
I know of no way to fix this other than to get into the heater/AC unit and inspect/test the heater control actuators for proper operation or for blockage/interference from any material.
Leading evidence: 'material is blocking air flaps' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'material is blocking air flaps' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Inspect /' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

From previous cars I know this is most likely the sealing tape on the edges of the HVAC flaps.

Unlucky the test procedure is to use both a multimeter and porsche test equipment that senses faults so the trouble shooting guide includes the fancy porsche electronic gizmo.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Especially when using AC and heat to keep from fogging up it's just slightly warm on the "hi" setting, if I turn off the AC it gets warmer but also fogs the interior glass.

I've various combinations of settings (vent, floor, defrost, auto, etc) to cycle the HVAC output as well as using the Durametric software to cycle the system but it hasn't really helped.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

First some background (may or may not be relevant): over a year ago I started to get the little bits of foam crap blowing out of the ductwork, sticking to the vents, etc. From previous cars I know this is most likely the sealing tape on the edges of the HVAC flaps.
I've pulled a lot of it out of the vents but it's pretty sticky and brittle junk so I assume it's also jammed up somewhere on the interior heat mixer flap and is not letting warm air into the cabin.
How and/or where can I get to the flaps and manually cycle them or clean it out?
I'd rather not start pulling the entire dash apart to deal with this if there's a simpler way to do it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Suspect material is blocking air flaps from routing heated air directly to cabin and instead is directing more air through A/C heat exchanger which makes the air into the cabin cooler.
Another possibility is the actuators that control one or more flaps have stopped working and the fail "safe" position is to route more air through the A/C heat exchanger.
I know of no way to fix this other than to get into the heater/AC unit and inspect/test the heater control actuators for proper operation or for blockage/interference from any material.

Sincerely,
Macster.
There is a lot of info on the system in the service manual. Luckily all the disassembly procedures are pictured. Unlucky the test procedure is to use both a multimeter and porsche test equipment that senses faults so the trouble shooting guide includes the fancy porsche electronic gizmo. Best of luck.
I find it best to NOT use the A/C at all during the wintertime. I only use the A/C if cooling is actually required.
Any time, ANY TIME, the A/C is operated and subsequently shut down, even YESTERDAY, your windshield will often be subjected to fogging. When you shut down the A/C there will ALWAYS be a thin coating of condensate on the roughly 10,000 square inches of evaporator cooling vane surface area.
Even if it evaporates overnight where is it to go except remain within the A/C plenum as a moisture BOMB when the blower starts up the next AM..??
Read about the EED at airsept.com
During the summer months be careful, religiously so, to remember to shut down the A/C system airflow from the defrost/defog/demist ducts. Otherwise you might find yourself subject to OUTSIDE windshield fogging at the very worse of times. The Porsche climate control opens the windshield airflow ducts to COLD airflow once the cabin has been cooled to something close to your temperature setpoint.
VW has addressed this design flaw in their version of the Cayenne but Porsche refuses to admit the FLAW.
The service manager at Barrier Porsche tore up and discarded the service writeup once I described the problem, saying it was normal operation. "Normal" for Porsche, IDIOCY for anyone else.
on the drivers side, under the dash, there is a a heat duct that can easily be pulled off. If there is alot or not enough air coming out of the pulled out vent.... you can determine if the blockage is before or after the blower....
