Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The fuel level sensor was replaced about a year ago when it wasn't indicating accurately.
Leading evidence: 'Replace fuel level sensor' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Fill with 1/3 tank of gas' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I would reset your trip meter when you fuel up and watch the miles you drive as a backup.

Suggestion
I went to Rennlist to see if I had problem with my C4S, since it did not react when filled with 1/3 tank of gas.

Suggestion
Talked to Porsche center today and they confirm on TT and C4S the meter do not react if tank is filled with less than 28 liter if emty from start of filling.

I think the manual actually references something like "do not leave the ignition switch in the 'on' position or the car running while fueling as it can cause errors with the fuel gauge".

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anything to fret? 1/4 left in tank and suddenly stopped my C4S. Immediately low fuel light came on and needle went to zero. And on next start up, the car suggested I consider refueling or something like that. Added gas and fuel guage looks like it works. The fuel level sensor was replaced about a year ago when it wasn't indicating accurately. Seems like an inherent quirkiness of the fuel guage; anybody else seen this?
Someone else mentioned that TT and C4S only showed correct metering when filled to 50% and above. I went to Rennlist to see if I had problem with my C4S, since it did not react when filled with 1/3 tank of gas.

This isn't a direct quote but it's something to that effect.
But 'no' I've never had problems with my gauge.
The gauge in my 2002 C4S (55,000 km) always seems to work properly. I once had a problem getting fuel into the tank, but that seems to be an anomaly and not related.
Talked to Porsche center today and they confirm on TT and C4S the meter do not react if tank is filled with less than 28 liter if emty from start of filling. ( aprox 1/2 tank )
Strange but true...
I always fill mine at the 1/2 tank level which is 150-200 miles on odometer. One of my OCD quirks. Another is reading too my Rennlist and taking on unnecessary projects every weekend
More fuel guage weirdness . . . Even when I top off, the guage reads only 7/8 full, and then drops quickly to around 3/4 full. Do I need a new sending unit?? It's disconcerting to spend $40+ and then have the guage show only 3/4 of a tank.
(At least the empty light comes on well before I'm actually empty.)
