Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Did a search for threads but could not find anything... My remote top stoped working so I pulled it out and reinstalled it to make sure the connection was good... Now the car wont start...or Lock itself...getting a "Beep Beep" as if a door was left open...When I turn the key in the ignition nothing.... Any Ideas? Thanks In advance RAL 2004 C4S CAB

POST 2Original post

here's a wild guess, but why don't you try to unlock and lock the door with the key in the keyhole...might set things back to normal. I know this is rekuired if the car sits for a week or more. Good luck!! J

POST 3Original post

let me guess, you have an aftermarket cab top thingamagiggy. Theres 2 components, 1 on the cab top control unit and 1 on the alarm control unit. REMOVE BOTH OF THEM! There totally unreliable i have seen this prob. before.

POST 4Original post

Contact Mods 4 Cars directly. They are good at helping out. I have the smarttop and have no problems for 3 years....not sure about the remote top.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Pulled off the remote top module and everything else is working fine now. I emailed Stefan, I'm sure he will respond I have found that Mods for Cars has been great with product support. Thanks,
