Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have reasently bought a 2001 996, I have to import it to Norway and therfor I need the paperworks that says my car is registered 01/23/2001.
I can se from the autocheck report that it was registered that date, but I need something from the US goverment/DMV. The report says it happend in CT?
Anyone??
You can try to do contact the counties motor vehicle office from where you purchased the car and pay for a title/search history that may give you the info you want. Of course that is assuming that where you purchased the car from now is where it was registered then. I would doubt that they would accept a carfax. Good luck!
I would contact the State DMV office in Connecticut and give them the VIN number and they could probably then send you a copy of the original registration transaction. You also should have a Title for the car provided by current owner. That may meet your need for Norway DMV??
Good Luck!! demosan
Thanks to bouth!! I have a copy of the current titel, the original is in the car on the boat.
I dont need much to show to norwegaen goverment, but I wold like to show the the paiper that says the reg date, unless I have to tax it in as a 2002 modell. that is more or less 5000 usd more!!
After I have taxed the car I bought for 38200 usd the total cost is 100 000 usd!! And it still is a GOOD buy!!
Can anybody help me with the number to the state DMW office in Connecticut?
Anyone as amazed as I am about how the internet in general, and RL in particular, has shrunk the world?. Here is a guy from Norway, getting almost instantaneous help from people in CO, CA and CT, about a car that is on a boat likely in the middle of the ocean. Wow.
Anyone has used the J-23 form from DMV in CT?? They say I need to fill in the form to get the firs reg date? But I dont have time to wait on it. They have to email it to me and I have to mail it to them! And that will take forever.
It is amazing!
Every once in a while I still think of these things as well. Last summer I was talking to my aunt in Mexico while walking down the sidewalk of Coeur D Alene Id. Made me think about this kind of stuff after we ended the call.
Another amazing thing is how much work people can get done while screwing around the internet/rennlist on the side.
I know my boss would be proud, if he knew
