Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

24 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know of a reputable place that do carbon fiber wrapping? The parts that I'm thinking about are not produced in CF so this may be the next best step? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Give John at MAcarbon a holler. He does custom stuff and is very helpful. MAcarbon

Thanks Wross

POST 4Original post

Are you thinking about the center section of the taco wing? I have always wondered how that would look. I'm about to start getting estimates to have my aero kit painted.

I am trying to keep my ideas under wrap

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

BC I'm doing a photo-chop first, don't worry I won't screw up the yellow angel. No one else has done it so why not be the first....

POST 8Original post

pls don't u know how i feel about your 911. your exterior is perfect. just work on the interior.

POST 9Original post

Quotes source post: 5201518

+1 I cringe when I see someone cover a part in CF in an effort to make it "look lighter". Dude, you just made it HEAVIER!

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5201548

It's not the lightness part, i was thinking the following (but i bet someone will go out and do it), CF Hood, CF Mirrors and CF the top flat part of the MK1 wing. try and visualize it guys....I think it might look good...?

POST 11Original post

it'll surely attract the IT software engineer nerds who grew up loving the import scene (nothing wrong with that), but it will certainly get you flack from me. anything non-body color on the outside save for the OEM factory M3/M6 cf roof... is whack. you want to keep it clean dude. keep it body color. totally a bonehead move, imo. it'll make you go from cool guy loud yellow car tho... to... a guy who has too much time on his hands who has no clue about making it look EZ> again your exterior is done. focus on your interior like sport seats with painted backs, painted trims, etc. i remember your interior wasn't all that impressive.

Ditto. John is a fantastic guy and a pleasure to work with. I've ordered numerous parts from him. Frankly, my OEM CF horseshoe surround is starting to fade and I may have to hit him up for one of those soon.

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 5201582

So back to the engine and interior, looking back at some pics she does look ok from the outside. Thanks for bringing me to my senses haha.

POST 14Original post

totally dude. go crazy on the engine. stick to the OEM stuff on the interior. then you're really done. you're just restless and bored with the car. be strong. spend your money wisely. don't mess with the outside.

POST 15Original post

Yea John @ MA carbon is the place, he is doing some custom parts right now for my TT. One part is done and waiting on the other, he sent me a pic and all I can say is wow! They are so easy to work with and the quality is incredible!

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the recommendations and in fact John seems like a very easy and straight forward person to get on with. For now no CF on the outsides for me. All the budget is going into the engine and throwing unwanted weight out of the interior.

POST 19Original post

AGREE. I'm liking red on P-cars more and more. Used to think I would never pick a red sports car again...until now. If it's tastefully done, as shown, it 's hard to beat.

POST 20Original post

same here. i think i like red more on the 911 than the f-cars. the wheels, lowering, and aerokit MAKE that car.

POST 21Original post

red and yellow is the only way to go...but if i had to choose red would win all the time...beautiful color for this car.

POST 22Original post

manny, i loved your red C4S. but i'd never do it. i just like bland silver best. but like with the GTR, i can admire/respect it from a distance.

POST 23Original post

Second that. I suggest pearl white as the color for your next toy, when you're good and ready of course

POST 24Original post

that is siq. i really think white is the new silver man. so clean so bright! i'd shove some perfect fitment BBS LMs on that bad boy, aftermarket exhaust, call it a day!
