When I brought it to their attention they fixed it promptly (they told me they sent the wheels out for polishing, but I'd swear the polished ring was replaced on both wheels.

I used Pioneer for about 2 years and have been using Hoehn for a little over a year.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

That's an easy one: Hoehn hands down. I used Pioneer for about 2 years and have been using Hoehn for a little over a year. While Pioneer is MUCH more convenient geographically, that convenience is quickly diminished when driving to Pioneer 3 times for the same thing only to find the car isn't even ready when you get there.
I would agree that Hoehn is much better than Pioneer. I have bought my last 5 cars from pioneer but will not go back for service. They seem to take days to fix the most minor item and you can never get a live service writer on the phone for an update. Everytime I take my car to Hoehn it's done on time and I get a prompt call if there is any change.

Exactly my service experience at both Hoehn and Pioneer. You will also find a much less pressured sales dept and I've found Hoehn will deal while Pioneer clings to the "we offer our value added in service instead of price".
Hoehn has been great to me...Helped me out with an out of warranty cracked instrument cluster and saved me a ton! They always call to update and have it ready when promised!
I have never gone to Pioneer.
Bought our car at Pioneer because Hoehn refused to deal on the $92K sticker Carrera we wanted to order.
We've always had it serviced at Pioneer even though Hoehn is 20 miles closer (each way), and have been absolutely pleased with every aspect of their service. Pioneer has always had the car ready as promised, and free loaners are usually Boxsters or Cayennes.
I have had my car serviced with Pioneer and am now going to Hoehn. They nicked my rim mouting a tire - which they didn't disclose and still haven't payed for, Installed a RMS when they installed my clutch even though it never leaked EVER before. The result, I had to take it back a month later after it was leaking, Now it has failed again and it puking out to a rediclous amount. I am very very dissatisfied with their service and treatment
Interesting - Pioneer scratched both my rear wheels when they did the tires. When I brought it to their attention they fixed it promptly (they told me they sent the wheels out for polishing, but I'd swear the polished ring was replaced on both wheels. Whatever they did it the wheels were as they were when they got the car.
They got the slight RMS leak the first time with the redesigned seal.....
Well I still haven't been paid and I am going to have to either take it up with the serrice manager or file a claim. Also I just dropped the car off at hoehn and depending on whether it is a defective seal or negligent service I might have to eat the cost of labor and parts and have to take it up with Pioneer. As Ben said you couldn't pay me to have my car done there again, it just doesnt' seem to be worth it.
If it wasn't for Hoehn's style of selling and their service, I might not have a Porsche today. My wife and I showed up looking for a test drive one day. After a short conversation a salesman, he asked me what I wanted to test drive, I choose a tip. He gave me the keys and said you and your wife take it and enjoy... get a good feel. We were gone for 40mins, came back took a stick and did the same thing all over. Came back drove home and bought later that week and picked it up on the way to party the following Sat afternoon. So far, I make appt, drive 45 mins and wait while service is conducted. They've been outstanding in every way as far as I am concerned. The prices are reasonable too.
Nice. I just took my car in for the RMS as I had pioneer replace it twice already with this last failure resulting in a nice 4ft diameter puddle after a couple of hours after I park it!!!!!! I will never ever take my car there again period. After dropping the car off I was told that if the RMS was defective, then it would be warranted and there would be no cost, however if the seal showed no signs of failure I would have to pay for the labor and parts and then go after Pioneer to recoup my costs. I have been sweating bullets a bit needless to say.
I got the call this afternoon that the seal was the culprit to my great relief. I pick the car up tomorrow
All the rumors are true Hoehn is a great place and their honesty is believable
Needless to say I will take my car there again and in the future
I hope Hoehn's Porsche service and sales ethics are better than Hoehn Mercedes - you wouldn't believe the ineptitude (verging on fraudulaent) of Hoehn MB service. It's for that reason I could never bring myself to deal with any division of Hoehn ever again, it really was that bad - whereas Pioneer, while not perfect, have always got the job done.
I can't comment on anything but the work, but I would put up with honesty if it came with some possible attitude v. ineptitude in the serviec area and having negligent work done only to have to return it over and over and over with more problems occuring as latent byproducts
