i have already ordered Rejex for wheels, is it ok to use on paint?

Picked up the C4S Cabriolet, handles like a charm. My first Porsche....the steering and acceleration are incredible! Car is lapis blue with grey int. Center console is lapis and top is blue. I will post pics soon.
Thanks...have a question. Dealer says there is a special coating over the paint and that it should be left on for at least a week. Need to know if thats a crock, and if so when can car be wahed, waxed and stoneguard(clear bra) applied? i have already ordered Rejex for wheels, is it ok to use on paint? Thanks in advance.
In the old days, you were supposed to let the paint alone for several weeks to allow further "curing". Wash is OK, but no wax nor polish. Don't know if that is still true, but I left mine alone for 3 weeks before I could no longer contain myself and detailed the car.
Overall the car is great....but....Porsche needs to give you some basic electronics of the new millenium such as self dimming mirror, a side view mirror that tilts down in reverse(without being optioned to death) and a decent radio. The reception sucks even on really strong stations. Sorry but for 100k its deserved. As far as handling, car is unbelievable. My previous M3(240hp) sucked in comparison. There is no way to describe the sterring adequately. Suspension is stiff as is the body, but I will need dental work at this rate. Route 80 between GW bridge and Paterson is rough. More soon including pics.
