Has anyone tried running 305 tires on their lowered narrow body 996?

I should mention that you may need to run more camber in back than you want to to make 305s work.

Another tire/rim question. Did some searching but couldn't come up with anything conclusive. I'm currently running Re-valved bilstein's with H&R springs. 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the rear. My plan this winter is to go with 18x11s in the rear running 305/30 18 hoosiers. Has anyone tried running 305 tires on their lowered narrow body 996? Another option I've considered is going with the ROW030, which from what I understand doesn't lower the car as much as H&R springs...any thoughts? Below are a couple of pic's showing the clearance...

My car is much lower than yours and I've run with 11 inch rims and 305 Hoosiers. My suspension is stiffer though so you might have rubbing problems that I didn't. I would recommend against 305s. I switched back to 285s this year. 305s are an inch taller and weigh 3 lbs more each. I think the height and weight more than offset any advantages you get from a wider footprint. Jim

Eli, I run 245/35/18 in front. I should mention that you may need to run more camber in back than you want to to make 305s work. You only want about -1.5 to -1.8. I don't think they'll fit inside your fenders without more. Good luck and let me know if I can help. (p.s. it will be cheaper to toss the 305s and go to 285s right away) Bow, Revalving changes the damping charateristics of a damper (shock).
