Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I use the Goodyear Ultra Grip GW3 on my stock 18" Turbo Twist, and i must say these are by far the BEST winter tire I have EVER used, They perform Great in the snow and awsome on cold pavment, the only draw back to these are they are NOT cheap..

Suggestion
I also dropped down an inch from the summer 18 inch on my 2003 C4S, as recommended for better winter traction.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I bought the Blizzaks (I think LM25?) from tirerack and was very pleased with them. My first choice had been the Dunlops but they were out, and I haven't regretted it.
I have the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25's on 17" rims on a C2. They work great. Have Dunlop M2's on the wife's BMW 3 Series. They also work well. I really can't tell much difference in daily driving duties between either tire.

I have used Pirelli Wintersports and the Dunlop upgraded M3 Wintersports (new model to replace M2s) with comparable results. Both excellent. I also dropped down an inch from the summer 18 inch on my 2003 C4S, as recommended for better winter traction. Dunlop at Tirerack was out of stock early last year on tires and rims for Porsches, so if you decide on those, move fast.......whole set-up cost about $ 1800. Needed spacers for the rear tires with the 17's..........
Hey abiazis - you running 17" on on C4S
How does the rear wheels fit over the brakes. Give me what you went with in siizes please.
I was thinking 18" but if the 17" Boxster rims and tires fit then I would defianatley go with those.
I use Bridgestone Blizzak series on three of my cars. When its icy out my C2 (which really doesn't handle very well going up the steep hills where I live with ice on the roads) sits in my garage.
The Blizzaks are real sticky on my front wheel and all wheel drive cars. Check them out.
Nokian? Thanks for all the suggestions. No one has mentioned Nokian. Any thoughts? Also which is best ( longest lasting while able to be pushed hard) for a winter with no or little snow. Last few winters here we've had little snow.
On my C4S I went with 17" Mille Miglia rims based on tirerack's recommendation, using 21mm spacers in rear--I forget the size, but they can tell you. They fit and run perfectly.
