Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You know those two little adjusters on the dash that adjust the clock and the dimmer in the gauges? The dimmer on mine broke. I tried super gluing it and it was ok for a little while, but it came off again. Super glue is terrible. Do I have to pull the entire dash pod out to get to it? If so, that seems like more trouble than it's worth.

POST 2Original post

Is it just the ****? If so, you can get those from the dealer for about $20.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, it's just the ****. The question is, how do you install it?

POST 4Original post

Just pull it straight out to remove it, and push the new one on. It requires a little bit of force, but you're not going to break anything.

POST 5Original post

Did the stalk in pushes onto break off? If so (as mine did) I purchased a new set on eBay and drilled it out a bit and pushed it back onto what was left of the stalk.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I don't know, I have to check. I guess that's a good idea if I broke off the stem.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The stem broke right at the dash pod. I'll need to replace the entire stem. Has anyone done that or (as I suspect) I need to leave it alone as its probably more work than benefit. I just hate anything wrong. It's the little things that drive me crazy.

POST 8Original post

Mime did the same thing, broke at almost flush with plastic lens, as I stated above, get a new one and drill it out a bit further and slid it over what remains of the stalk as the stalk goes in a ways. Worked for me.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sounds like a plan. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

POST 10Original post

Also, there is a guy in bc (iirc) that reproduces just the stalk part. Abt $45 or so shipped. I think his name is brian, search on here and you can probably find him. If you cant find info, i might be able to dig up contact info.
