Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

CD changer and magazine?

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry, got the number wrong. It is the receiver alone with single cd, not the changer in the trunk.

POST 14Original post

Please post pics on the bumper cover. No hurry.

Hand Brake is sold. Thanks Pat.

POST 19Original post

Interested in the center console if you still have it.

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

center console is sold, thanks Ron.

POST 21Original post

If I was still in so cal I would buy the bumper from you in a heartbeat. Driving to Valencia from nor cal would also cost me a small fortune in gas, and shipping probably just as much or more. Still though I might be tempted. Anyone in the Sacramento/bay area that drives to LA and back and who is reading this and can carry a bumper let me know!

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Shift **** and console sold.

POST 23Original post

Hi, could you post pics of tip steering wheel, please? Is it modified beyond normal use? My leather cover has a damage, but I could re-use all the other stuff if yours is nice. Thanks, Johan

Thanks Tom, could you specify what is changed with the wiring? Thanks, Johan

POST 28 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I cut the wiring to make the buttons activate a remote for my Ipod and Bluetooth phone. If you swap out yours from your wheel it will be like new.

This deal with TOM made me one very happy camper: he patiently answered all my questions, worked out a "steal of a deal" and lightning fast shipping. I was blown away when the cover showed up in my doorstep today and it was 10x better than described. I will do business with Tom again without any reservation and would highly recommend him to future buyers.

POST 36Original post

Tom is great. Went to his house Saturday to pick up some parts, then realized he had more stuff I needed so I ended up going back on Monday again. Highly recommended and pleasure to deal with!

And so I did...bought a removable hardtop stand from Tom. Perfect transaction in every way, I am one happy camper (again). Thanks again, Tom

POST 38Original post

More props for Tom. I purchased the turbo shift **** and boot. Great piece and a great transaction as well! Thanks again Tom.

POST 39Original post

Ditto on the bumper, in better condition than pictured and described. And shipping was quite a story, the box he shipped it in was about as big as a refrigerator. That being said I've made bumper plugs for it, as well as mesh for the vents, and repainted the trim. Going to turn out very nice !!!! I also bought mufflers from Tom, and they are great too. Too bad he doesn't sell insurance.

POST 40Original post

You can make bumper plugs? Do tell...I am in need.

on sale here (will need to paint em to match your car): http://www.suncoastparts.com/product//plug.html

POST 42Original post

Yep Tom undersold the center console, shipped it quick. Good deal, I would say great ebayer if that were the venue.

POST 43Original post

Making your own bumper plugs: Went to hardware store and bought a couple 9mm plugs like you see in above picture. Trim fasteners or something like that. Already had primer, can of paint matching my car, and a can of clear coat, so my cost was about $2. If you don't have the paint, it's much cheaper to just buy them from a place like suncoast.com or bumperplugs.com

POST 44 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You guys are too kind. The garage sale was a success. Makes me wish I had more stuff to sell. Glad you could use them. The only things I have left are; Clock spring for wheel, Works great but need to splice 2 wires, (used for same experiment) $50 18” Turbo Twists, ft 2 original finish, 1 rear refinished (tire shop scratched and refinished, not curbed), 1 rear scratched (not curbed) $400 Tequipment colored center caps good condition $60 Exhaust tips, originals $25

POST 45Original post

Had time to clean up your old bumper today. Painted and installed DIY bumper plugs, installed mesh grilles, and repainted the trim. The bumper will probably stay off the car until the engine rebuild is complete.

POST 46Original post

logray, Those mesh grilles gives the bumper a "snazzier" look

POST 48Original post

Wanna trade for your wing? Actually I need a bumper more than your wing, but it is tempting. That is a nice wing. My old bumper is damaged.

POST 49Original post

logray I really like those mesh grills. I may have to get me some. How do they attach? Is it possible to put them on without removing the bumper?

POST 50Original post

I made them from a roll of 1/8" galvanized diamond mesh from the building materials section at home depot. About $10 for a huge roll of it. Easy to cut and form. On my old bumper I panted them black, but decided on the raw stainless look for the new bumper. I like the raw look better. On the old bumper I attached them from behind with screws and auto goop. Totally invisible from the front. On the new bumper I attached them only with auto goop from kmart (very strong stuff and about $5 per tube). Screws are pretty unnecessary with this stuff. You have to remove the bumper, but that isn't very hard. Maybe a dozen fasteners or so, I would give it 30 minute tops the first time you do it. Get a helper because the bumper is large and awkward. Good thing is while I had it on, it kept a TON of crap out of my radiators... which is a regular cleaning job if you drive where there are a lot of leaves... If you follow the turbo threads, those guys pretty much have to do this because the bumper openings are much larger... and they have perfected the art (even companies that sell pre made cut-outs). Our NA cars have the same problem, albeit much smaller openings. If you've ever removed your bumper you would see what I'm talking about. Funny thing is, this ended up in Tom's for sale thread!!!!

POST 54Original post

Hi Tom, I finally received the steering wheel a few days ago. All worked out with the US shipping, thanks for helping out. I just had to wait two weeks for my sister to come back to Sweden from the US! The steering wheel looked great, leather looked new as you said. I have no idea what you actually did with the electronics, especially the glued tip switch, but I replaced it with my old wiring. Did you just paint the tip buttons over the original finish? Or did you sand them down? Thanks from Sweden! Johan

POST 55Original post

So Logray... what are you doing with your Old Bumpercover??? if it is better that my "trailerhitch modified" bumper I might be interested...

POST 56Original post

I'll post some pics of it, but it's in pretty sad shape (well at least for my standards). It needs to be completely sanded down and repainted, there is a section that has some cracking in it, and some of that plastic bumper filler compound would probably work, but then primed and painted. The underside is pretty trashed (lowered), and I think most of the tabs are OK, a couple are broken though. I guess if you want it, its yours for whatever it would cost to ship plus maybe some gas money to get it to greyhound. Putting it on a Greyhound bus was actually pretty reasonable, only about $60 to get it from so cal to a bus station nearby in Sacramento. I didn't have to drive very far to pick it up. The best part is the box Tom put it in took up an entire cavity in the bus, so there was no possible way someone could have crushed it with their luggage or another package. And I still have the box!

POST 57Original post

Here are some pics of the bumper if someone wants it. It's pretty beat up.

Logray, My bumper is about the same but also has "Trailerhitch" mod smack dab in the middle. Guess I wait till a clean one pops up. I see I also need the C4 bumper with the center cooler opening.
