Mine are still in good shape but these will probably be my next set when the time comes.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My wheels are all nicked up and I was a good enough driver to add to the carnage last week when I got too close to a curb.
So...thinking about going all black. Embracing the Black/Red combo. Even thought about going black with the bumperettes for contrast.
Need opions? Matte or Glossy? I like the 5 spoke like I currently have so will probably stick with a similar rim.
Thanks.
I like the RUF wheels. Mine are still in good shape but these will probably be my next set when the time comes. I bet they would look great on your car.
You can clean up the existing wheels and powder coat them black...I prefer glossy...you will need black lugs (just so happens I have a set for sale haha) and you should paint the rotor hats black.
Agree with fly... Powder coat the lightweights you have... Shouldn't be more than 75 per wheel... I've done gloss also on a previous car but if satin is offered that may look tuff as well. Hats, bolts for sure and If your calipers need a respray this would be the time..
How does the powder coat hold up over the long term? Where would I look for a shop that does the work? I have several good nicks in the rims now. Can they repair those at the same time. I have priced new rims at $280 per. Thanks so much for the advice!
You have my favorite Porsche wheels, so I don't blame you for just getting them powdercoated. I'm going to throw my hat in for some 18" OZ Allegeritas. Call me if you like them
How long does the finish last? All depends on how hard you are on them. Did mine 4 years ago and I have noticed few small scratches. Mainly due to tire changes. Seriously thinking of having them redone. Cheapest way to make a visual change.
Most small powder coaters are the guys you want to go to. They will blast all the old finish off. The new powder will fill in a good portion of your nicks. The good thing it that your nicks are noticeable now because they look raw. When re-finished they are very much less seen. They won't repair them but they will / should be upfront with any issue they see. The guys I went to were and I appreciated it. Have to ask.......what kind of wheel are you getting for $280?
I'm not a big fan of black wheels unless they have a nice shiny polished barrel. It just dosent look right to me unless there is a visual seperation between the tire and rim. Rotiform nue wheels in an annodized black would be nice if you have to have black though.
Victor Turismos 18X8 5-130 45GBM $280 each...out the door for $1200. Discount Tire.
I know its not a sexy brand but does anyone have any experience with these?
Barn...no. Went on the Discount Tire site as well as the Victor site. They do have width sizes 8-11.

Chris, thats the way I've always felt. I don't mind black wheels but they need something to break up the solid black between wheel & tire. Also, to most of the guys on here isn't chrome wheels a no-no? jmo
I too like black rims which have a line of colour to break up the contrast. I think there is a product called 'alloygator' which in red would look good to match your body colour, and also provide some rim protection.
black is the most obvious choice, but I would play around a little with other paint options - A nice gunmetal gray, like the M5's from the early 2000, or try a tone-on-tone look with a lighter red-orange or darker, burnt orange against the red fenders. Just the right darker gold shade would give you a simple throwback look that would be unique. I'd try something different.
