Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just picked up my car from a detailer and noticed that the back seats (bottom flaps) are totally loose! I can't go back right now (because they are closed) but will tomorrow. My question is this: I tried to "pop" them back into place, but the clips (which look like a plastic plate with "nipples" (for lack of better description) don't seem to catch onto anything, is there another part that is missing from back there?

POST 2Original post

introductions require photos and details. i say return it to the dealer. i looked but am not sure how the back seats are installed. i am sure someone here has taken them out and put them back in. good luck.

pics to follow soon, I have other things to take care of (being that what holiday it is today)

The plastic covers have tangs (or hooks) on them that can easily break once removed. Usually a new cover is all that's needed to resolve it.

There are round, white plastic washer-like rings that friction fit over those plastic nipples underneath the carpet. If you're lucky, those washers are still under there somewhere. What happens is that people pull the cushions off carelessly and, instead of the velcro giving way, the posts that attach the velcro base to the carpeting do. Pull the carpet back, starting at the floor, and feel around under where the seat cushions were. When you find them, poke the black plastic velcro base through the holes in the carpet and reattach the rings underneath. If they're gone, I think Porsche sells a pack of new ones. When this happened to me, I was able to find some but not all of them. I just reattached what I could and left it. One of these days, I'll finish the job
