Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, I am considering either 1 of the options metioned above. I am currently running Fabspeed's maxflo mufflers. Anyone got ideas on which is better interms of sound and performance? Which would you choose? Only problem with cat delete is i ll have to swap them out for the stock ones every year before inspection. Cheers

POST 2Original post

I wouldn't delete cats because of the reason you mentioned. Muffler bypass is cheap, easy, and reversible, although a bit loud.

POST 3Original post

I like my bypass pipes. Some people hate them. Had them for about a year and not getting rid of them . Weight saving also. To each his own though. Feather the throttle next to cops and easy pulling into the neighborhood if you get the bypass. The sound is so nice though...for people that like to hear the engine.

POST 4Original post

fister d muffler is prob the best choice. aggressive, yet calm when you need it to be. wish there was a viable intake option for cars w/tiptronic
