Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Found this online: http://www.obd2tech.com/33-porsche-t...c-scanner.html Has anyone tried this unit? Why is it so cheap...is it a knockoff? Am I better off with a Durametric?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Never mind. just ordered the durametric. Read that the so called piwis $120 units are cheap chinese knockoffs with very iffy results

POST 3Original post

Does anyone know if a PIWIS cable (with USB connect) along with the 19 pin round adapter cable work for checking codes and resetting indicator lights (e..g., air bag/seatbelt)? Here are links to what I'm looking at http://autorepairtool.ecrater.com/p/...e-for-porsche# http://www.sensolutions.com/products...r-for-porsche/ I know it looks sketchy but the two cables and CD with software (I assume) is only $70 total. Thanks for any feedback.
