Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm looking at updrading the seats in my 996. The interior is grey, However for various reasons I'm thinking about going with black GT3 seats. Obviously it's a personal choice, but has anybody else here done that? Better yet, does anyone have pics? I can't seem to visualize it very well.
TIA.
Gt3 or Gt3 Euro?
here is a black and savannah combo...as stated a few accents and mats helps tie it together...I was looking for a black wheel when i sold the car
Ok, you asked for opinions...
As far as the black/beige combo, I think it looks sharp. Black mats and maybe some accents and you've got a good looking car.
Now about the seats... I assume you want these for track use. Are those FIA seats? Are they designed to withstand an impact, and have they been tested? I hit a wall in my race car this year going backwards at 70mph. The force of my body against the seat deformed the floor pan by about 1/2", and left the seat also deformed. It happened in a race, but could just as easily happen in a DE, or for that matter on the highway. I walked away from the wreck. But if my seat had broken instead of deformed, I don't think the outcome would have been quite so good.
For a few hundred dollars more than what Rottec wants, you should be able to find some used Porsche GT3 shells. Even if it's a thousand dollars more, what's your back worth?
JMHO
If it's not for the track, I'd think twice about getting fixed-back seats. They are pretty comfortable when you're in them, but they are a pain to get in and out of. Particularly the out of part. Also, you will be giving up access to the rear seat area. Even if you don't use the seats ever for passengers, I bet you still put stuff back there. My comments on safety still stand for the street. Stuff happens, & it's not always good.
I have daily driven fixed backs for 3 years now...they are definantly wonderful for commuting but make rear access very difficult AND you can get co-workers "stuck" on lunch outtings if they are not HWP or have tailbones really sore if they dont sit right
