Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well time to put my SC back on and wondering what is the easiest way to change my fuel injectors with engine in the car. It was easy with engine out and did recall someone lowering rear of engine helped but could not find the thread. Any help from the myth busters appreciated.

POST 2Original post

thats the hardest part of the install.... from the top, one hand, all by feel. Once you get one off... the rest is cake. You can try going from the bottom and lowering the engine, but you need to bring it back up for the correct blower fitment.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Redridge did you remove the whole fuel rail with injectors and then change them?

POST 4Original post

yes fuel rails need to come out..... injectors will come with it. check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-63P...eature=related

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Great find .... what a bear I hope I can lift out the rail to remove the injectors. Just hope I can get them reseated properly on install. Here we go

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Lunch time and this is RIDICULOUS........ Just put the Injectors on passenger rail but for the life of me cannot align the rail to get it back in the head SHI... I just cannot see if the injectors are going in the holes and how does anyone know it is not going to leak. Please excuse but this is just a rant

POST 7Original post

how about putting the injectors in first... then the rails.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am thinking of that but, installing the clips seem to be the problem when the rail is fixed to the top of the injectors there is not any room. I'll have another look.
