Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I am running CS2 as well and they are pretty good tires.

For 600 and change for a set of 4, I'm willing to give them a try.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Currently running Conti SportContact 2s. I'm happy with them, though if a set wore out at the same time I would have probably just swapped all four to Sumitomo HTRZIIIs. I had to replace the fronts over the winter and now the backs are getting close. Of course Conti stopped making the 2 and I cannot find anyone who has one in 285/30-18.
Tire Rack does not list the SC3 in 285/30 and I'm not sure about mixing the DW.
So... options?
Did you try calling tire rack and asking about the tire. I was also told last week when my car was in for service that the dealer could still get SC 2's.
HTRZIII fronts are ~$118 each, and the backs aren't that expensive either. You may end up ahead just buying a complete set of the Sumis and finding another home for your used Contis.
I got amazing miles out of my Conti CS2s. I'm debating between the Hankooks and the Sumis right now. They're just so much cheaper it's hard not to consider them.
Car and Driver recently rated the Hankooks #2 behind Dunlops in a comparison of 10 Tires against the PS2. The Dunlops won on dry pavement performance, but the Hankooks seemed to be a better all round tire that compared very favorably with the PS2 at half the price. I'm going to give them a try when my PS2s wear out.
When I bot my used '02 in '06, it came with whatever the so called high performance Hankook Ventus model at that time. Worst tire I have ever driven, I took them off after 1 week. They have nothing...no matter what the price.
C&D and several guys on the Turbo board say different. For 600 and change for a set of 4, I'm willing to give them a try. I do like the PS2s though. I've have them on several cars and I understand why C&D uses them as the benchmark.
If the hankooks don't work out, I'll have some fun melting them and go back to the PS2s.
I went from the contis to the hankooks. Pretty happy with them. The car is my daily driver so I think they ride a little better than the contis. I don't track the car so can't really say how they would be for that. Overall though I like them.
