Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

so the weather has been crappy in ma with a ton of rain. i was looking at the condition of my wiper blades and noticed something odd. the passenger side blade appeared to be bent. bummer. then i looked more carefully and it is actually curved. so i am guessing that it is curved to somehow fit the windshield profile on that side? is it shaped that way to stay in contact with the windshield at high speed? i dont know.

POST 2Original post

yes, you are correct.... you'd think the passenger wiper would have that spoiler bit on the driver side.

POST 3Original post

Yup, made like that for better swipes. The driver side one is the one that has the air-blade on it to hold it down at higher speed.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi ferdinand, my question exactly. driver side is straight with builtin spoiler. passenger curved but no spoiler. not smart enough to explain the physics. still love it.

POST 5Original post

Just bought a set of new wipers, 40 bucks sun coast. I think mine were original..

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi marc, so driver side is straight with builtin spoiler. passenger curved but no spoiler? just curious.

Damn, Marc, are those things made of solid gold?

POST 8Original post

I replaced my original ones with Valeo and they are very very good and last a long time. The passenger one is not curved and sticks out off of the glass when at rest. http://www.tirerack.com/wipers/brand.jsp?brand=Valeo

POST 10Original post

You know they make them with double spoilers now. With the added benefit of more downforce at 150mph. And in your choice of red, silver, and speed yellow...

POST 11Original post

I went with the PIAA supersilicone ones from Tire Rack and they are awesome!

POST 12Original post

logic behind it is the driver needs to see in an extreme case and not the passenger.
