Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

So if you get a set that have too high an offset you can use spaces to move them out.

I have a line on a nice set of used wheels and want to see if they will work.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

18 inch wheels Front 8.5 Rear 10 What offsets will work? TIA! I used the search and gave myself a headache without clarifying what I need. I have a line on a nice set of used wheels and want to see if they will work.

Thx!

POST 4Original post

!!! For the rear, be careful, (it costed me a set, that still sleep in the garege): it depends if it is a narrow or a wide body.

POST 5Original post

I'm lowered on H&Rs current front 8.5 52mm....I hate it....40mm to be flush rears are 10 54mm....it's pretty good....I could go a couple mm's more though

POST 6Original post

With those widths, as low as 40 front and 52 rear. Cheers

POST 7Original post

Keep in mind that the higher the offset number the farther in the wheels sit. So if you get a set that have too high an offset you can use spaces to move them out. With too low an offset there is really nothing to be done to move them in. The width of the time and the size/profile of the tire also matters.
