Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

30 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Gang If anyone is looking for a great 4S let me know. I posted it in the FS section. PRICE ADJUSTMENT to $37250.00 I want a good home for it. Not going to wholesale it and toss it away. That is a fair price.

POST 2Original post

Sorry to see you're selling it. It's stunning. We should get together and have a beer in Denver before it's gone...

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Even after its gone. I will be back in one

POST 4Original post

One of the best looking 996 I have ever seen!!! good luck with the sale...someone is going to get a hell of a car.

POST 5Original post

Tim.... why????? As I recall, you regretted selling the red one. Are you just more more interested in buying them and customizing them than keeping them? Just curious. I wish I were in the position to get another P-car, because I would seriously consider buying your car. GLWTS!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

TO a point....maybe. I wish I had a business customizing for people. But I also have a wife finishing up school and a business that needs a few bucks. This economy has not bounced back as we all would have wished. My clients are small to medium sided companies and they are all running scared not knowing what is going to happen to expenses (Taxes and Health care etc.). I soooo hope it goes to a R-Lister. I might be able to flex for a Renn member . Family is family

POST 8Original post

it is such a great looking car. white is rare and the tech art mods are really clean ! good luck with the sale.

You just missed mine by a year, Tim!!

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Very little interest at the moment. Oh well not like it is a beater hehe

POST 12Original post

Someone should fall in love with your Porsche, they only need to see it to understand what you've done so far. GL

POST 13Original post

This is right up there with Scott's car as far as WOW factor! Love the white when done right GLWTS Tim. Sorry it has come to that

Yeah, I know...... I KNOW.... Don't remind me, damn it! Damn, you are still alive!!!! Good to "see" you here again! How have you been???

Fine! I'm always lurking, but haven't posted in a while. Getting the car bug again - I really love having a roadster, so thinking about either a used 997S or Boxster S. May be more practical - looking closely at a BMW 335xi coupe Msport or 335is coupe. If my wife sees this post, I'm dead meat.

POST 18Original post

what exactly is the car bug you are getting....? the need to spend money on something you will never use dude buy your old car back, its only got 500 miles more than when you sold it, so thats like what 4000 miles on a 6 year old car? Hell you can share it with Vic, he isnt using it either, maybe he is having a car bug and you can swap cars with him.... then both sit on the porch and look at them, call each other and say WOW, I love this car

POST 19Original post

Ed .... buy Tim's Porsche, then you can be a member of the wasser pumper crowd again.

POST 20Original post

I actually use my TT as a daily driver - it stays garaged and is flawless. Now that the top is fixed, I'm likely not selling - at least not for another year. At this point, another garage queen is not appealing. Plus, soon I'll be too old to drive anything anyway, so I'd better drive them now when I still can.

Phil, if you go with a used 997, get the 2006+. Porsche redesigned the IMS bearing (again) in late model year 2005. I don't recall reading any posts on the 997 Forum about a 2006+ having the IMS "death rattle." I am not certain if this change/upgrade was also applied to the 2006+ Boxster. If you don't want to spend more than $50K to $55K, then DON"T drive a 997.2. If you do drive one, you will have to recalibrate the upper limit of your range, because they are that good! You have been warned.....or tempted!

POST 23Original post

Tim, the more I look at the BMW coupe, the less I want one. My kid's got a 328xi coupe which I drove all day today. They're nice, but no Porsche, for sure. And if I'm going to go with a cab, I have zero interest in the BMW 3 series vert or the Z4. I would buy another Porsche. Going the next step, if I buy one that I actually drive, I would likely search out a 997S or 4S cab. They are just great looking and great cars. If I go with a Porsche as a second car for my self, I would seriously look at a Boxster S.

POST 24Original post

How do you NOT scrape the nose on any little incline? DC4

POST 25Original post

When I still owned my 4S, I would front down the driveway lip at a 45 degree angle, and back in at the same angle. Voila! No scrapes. If your incline is really steep, you'll scrape the underside of the front valence regardless.

POST 26 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I only have scraped on a VERY big dip. Otherwise it is just fine

POST 27Original post

Quotes source post: 8071705

Just to make sure I understand this..... your front bumper didn't scrape either time you drove the car on public streets?

POST 29Original post

Quotes source post: 8072452

Honestly Tim, I don't remember since I spent so much time in my driveway.
