Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I just replaced the battery on my 2000 C2 Cab with an Interstate brand that rate for my car.
Leading evidence: 'Replace battery' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace battery' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just replaced the battery on my 2000 C2 Cab with an Interstate brand that rate for my car. It fits snug in the battery tray, however, it does not have any bracket to securily hold down the battery.
Previous owner installed a cheap Sh*t low CCA (500) Kirland battery and it did not have the bracket either.
I was wondering if it is the way Porsche design or the braket is missing.
Does anybody have any idea or picture of the battery mount on your car?
Thanks.
Nghia
The hold down clamps to the bottom rim of the battery. Any chance it's still there but on an outer tie down? Or maybe its floating around under there or in the tool bag area.
Thanks!
I found the bracket (only one) in the spare wheel jacket but cannot fined the bolt.
Does the battery need 2 brackets to hold down or just one on the positive side?
There is a threaded hole on the positive side but on the negative side I saw only a through hole.
The base of the battery slides under the right side lip (-) that will hold it there.
The left side needs the bold and bracket to clamp over the base of the battery.
To clarify C4RNA is referring to the left side of the battery facing it while standing in front or on the Starbord side of the car (right side standing in the back facing the front--or sitting in the car facing front).
Thanks!
I bought the Interstate battery specified for my car and it fits well in its compartment after I got help from Rennlist pals and found the hod down braket in my car.
Eveything looks good now.
Cool. Dealers do have little bits like bolts and plastic fasteners and such. Of course they may try to sell you the whole tray and hold down but maybe maybe not. Glad you are having fun getting used to the car.
