Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Run fan' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust latch mechansim up and down' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

You may also need to adjust the latch mechansim up and down to create the tension.

The factory metal are easier to adjust then the composite covers.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Yes the bump stops are what worked for me and sometimes you do not have to move them very much to get the results you need..
When I installed the aero deck lid I had a hell of a time getting the latches to line up nicely for easy release with the switch. I finally got it all set and it was great for quite some time. Lately though, when it's cold I can't get a clean release of the latch. If I warm the engine, and thereby the lid, it pops right open. I'm going to dive back in and try to get this to work a little more smoothly. Before I do, I'd love to hear some tips on how to make this alignment process easier/smoother...
Thanks,
Shawn
try screwing those bump stops at the corners of the lid... make the stops stick out further so that it creates tension between the lid and the frame, when you release the latch, the tension will make the lid to pop open. You may also need to adjust the latch mechansim up and down to create the tension.
My stoppers are permanent - no adjustment, (although you can 'shave' them if you need to). I played with the latch adjuster nuts (2). If it is hard to open cold but opens hot it sounds like you need to loosen the two nuts and bump the latch receiver UP 1 mm or so. It's a very fine adjustment depending on the type of cover. The factory metal are easier to adjust then the composite covers. I also played with the lid cover support bolts (2 either side) so that the lid was dead center (side to side) before I did the latch adjustment.
I am on the fense if I want to run the fan or purchase the wiring harnes (I already know about it..
