Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm thinking of this 2003 996, 6 spped. Are these the right wheels? Are Turbo Twists correct? The car has 51,000 miles, it's a 3 owner car with a clean CarFax. Anything I should be looking for? It's a great price (only 23,900)

POST 3Original post

Turbo twists are earlier. I have Turbo Twists for the track and these "classics" for the road and I think it makes a great combo.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Maybe it's me but something just doesn't look right???

POST 5Original post

Those wheels are the Carrera lightweights from 2002 to 2004. That car has the 996 GT2 front bumper with the MK I side skirts. When you use that bumper, Porsche recommends a rear spoiler to match/balance the downforce between the front and rear. The GT2 bumper creates downforce. The standard 996 creates lift.

POST 6Original post

wow that's a smoking deal! Just get a rear gt2 spoiler and you're set!

POST 7Original post

Non-original front bumper may mean (1) the car was involved in an accident or (2) the PO just wanted a GT2-look at the front-end. Don't over-rely on CarFax; get a PPI from a reputable Porsche garage. $23.9k may sound inexpensive, but, also may mean the seller is desperate to sell the car because it has problems.

POST 9Original post

GT2 front bumper, MK I side skirts and it's a MK II car. I like the MK I side skirts better than the MK II skirts, but just thought you should know.

POST 10Original post

The only thing is the car has the Turbo look, and the wheels are for the base carrera. Put some HRE's on it, plus a rear spolier, it will look right. .
