Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Hopefully having these replaced doesn't require an alignment and they didn't do one.
Leading evidence: 'Replace doesn't require an alignment and they didn't do one' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace doesn't require an alignment and they didn't do one' (1 discussions). Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Parts came in, had loaner for 2 days, drive away today and clunk, clunk, clunk over the small bumps - obviously not fixed so I'm thinking my diagnosis was wrong.
I told the dealer I thought it was the front sway bar end links making the front end clunking noise. Tech drove the car and confirmed. Parts came in, had loaner for 2 days, drive away today and clunk, clunk, clunk over the small bumps - obviously not fixed so I'm thinking my diagnosis was wrong. I looked at paperwork and they replaced the front left and right trailing arms, not the end links.
Maybe the parts guy misunderstood what to order. Good thing the dealer is 10 minutes from me otherwise I would not be very happy. CPO so no issues with cost. I'm tempted to buy the end links myself for $70 for the pair and just do it.
Wow, those are some relatively expensive parts and alignment you just got for free. The sway bar drop links are very cheap and trivially easy to replace, so for karma's sake, you could do them yourself. Then again, you paid a premium for the CPO, and you even correctly diagnosed the problem, so it's certainly within your rights to claim the correct fix. If it were me, it'd probably come down to how much my time was worth, and the inconvenience of not having your own car for a day.
If you do it yourself, obviously have the entire axle off the ground so as to avoid pre-load and mark the strut housing in case there's movement.
PS: Front control arms may be referred to as lower wishbones or control arms, technically "trailing arms" are in the rear.
The work order says trailing arms and there is no alignment on the work order. Part number listed is 996-341-043-06: here it is at Pelican -

Hopefully having these replaced doesn't require an alignment and they didn't do one. I will have them fix the end links. They are very good about doing CPO work even though they have misdiagnosed two different items now.
