Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Upon checking its plates, apparently it was imported from the USA!
Leading evidence: 'Check its plates, apparently it was imported' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check its plates, apparently it was imported' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all!!
Have had the car for two weeks now, so it's time that I introduce myself properly and post some pictures.
The car is a UK/Japanese import 2003 911 (996) Carrera 4 Cabriolet. Bought as a UK spec car from a dealer in Denmark. Imported to Japan in 2006 (probably by the original owner). Then came to NZ in 2007 (Christchurch), and ended up in Wellington in 2008.
It's fully loaded, heated seats, Porsche Communication Management, telephone, cruise control, leather seats, tiptronic, 18 inch Carrera wheels, hard-top, and PSM among other things. Speedo is in miles, but there is a digital speedo in kph that I use.
I traded my E60 530i for this P-car, and the differences are vast. I can't believe that 911 is going to be this much fun. 90kph to some unmentionable speed in 2 seconds. 0-100kph at 5.5 s, at second gear.
While I miss my electric-memory seat, automatic light, front PDC; I don't miss the rain sensor, crap stereo, terrible gas mileage (14l/100k around Wellington city!) from my 5 series.
After every drive I climbed out feeling both happy and scared.
BTW, my gas milage is about 11-15l/100km in the P car, and that involves some red-lining from time to time.
Now I have to start collecting parts for maintenance work on this car like rear brake kits etc.
For Kiwi forum members, you would've recognised where these photos were taken.
Nice car mate. They are very enjoyable cars.
Your car doesn't have numbered buttons down to the right for seat memory? I guess I got lucky when I found my car.
Good find for the beginning of your summer down there.
Yeah, no seat memory. The only hassle with that is the passenger side mirror doesn't drop down when the car is put in reverse.
We got hooked on convertible since last July, where we we spent a couple of weeks driving around in a Ford Mustang convertible in Nevada and California. We think it's very cool if we could have one in NZ. Hence the hunt started. Also helped that this car took a long time to sell so the dealer dropped the price by a lot. Sub $50k 996s went really quickly but not the ones costing more than that.
Summer officially starts in a week!!! Yay.
Check to see if the reverse lights go on too. They both the mirror moves and the reverse lights turn on with the same switch, which is located on the transmission. Really easy to reach and replace.
Do I win a prize if I'm the first one to guess the photos were taken in New Zealand?
Nice car, and that black looks sweet when it is that clean. Welcome.
While there is a handset, it actually offers hands-free operation. Drop your SIM card on the tray then bob's your uncle. There is a microphone to the right of the instrument binnacle, and sound is piped through car stereo. I think the handset is there in case you need privacy.
Yeah got me really confused especially coming from a Mustang 'vert.
But at least the ignition is on the right place!
While out with the P-car I saw a LHD Range Rover. Upon checking its plates, apparently it was imported from the USA! The owner must had loved the car very much to bring it all the way to NZ, and have to deal with driving on the other side of the road. Understandable if it was an American muscle car. Not a Range Rover.
Kia ora mate!
From the side entrance where the parliament library is, mostly been kept open during the day. There were even people taking wedding photographs there.
I should try coming down to the front of the beehive itself. One of these days I'll ask the security guards for permission.
If you came down to Wellington to do one of the many Lord of the Rings tour, you would know what the (ugly looking) building called.
Do a tour of NZ one of these days, even the boys from Flights of The Conchords are from Wellington!
