Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check ok' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check ok' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

don't have coolant, other than the ~11 qts of 20-50 most of us run......although I do use an alcohol-based coolant in my body after some wrenching on my car.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 2004 911 c/2 cab tip. i have a coolant leak coming out of somewhere that is right of center, towards rear, but i cant locate exact location.
the leak seems to be more prevalent after the car is driven for more than 5 minutes or so, and eventually stops. the engine temp seems always to be ok, and i get no other warning lights.
so many thoughts going thru my head, like, its the engine block, which im hoping its not.
does anyone have any ideas for me on what to check?
i would really be thankful for any input from someone who can point me in the right direction.
thanks.
EDIT: moved from the 911 Forum. - Mod

I had to get my 88 appraised for insurance purposes.
Found a guy to do it.
It cost me $300 for his services.
He came by and took a whack of pictures and filled out a very comprehensive vehicle report, which included the following tick mark.
Antifreeze --- Checked, OK.
Where's the steam engine forum? Those steam engine guys are the only ones that own true Porsches.
Nothing like antiquated technology to latch on to. Now where's my speak and spell?
Its ok ED...I went watercooled to air cooled to water cooled....Im a confused traitor myself.
Nothing like going to PCA DE events to get brushed off showing up in the only 944...then passing the pompus 911s in the corners.
As for the problem I hope he understands a possible water pump leak. The removal of the air box might help spots where it is leaking. There are lots of connectors so good luck chasing it down. Some auto parts store have a dye that shows up under black light that you could put a little in the coolant then turn a black light on and see the spot where it is leaking. The dye normally works with a/c, water and oil.
hahaha I was afraid of that. Its too bad he entered into the prehistoric era of cars and got cannibalized by the air cooled guys. Is there any meat left on the bones or is he just good for bone soup now?
