Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The fabspeed is much prettier and heavier and the car seems to run better off idle, back pressure is higher maybe, better for the stock ICU?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Car came with aftermkt exhaust, got damaged. (another storey) The only markings anywhere was a funny little triangle with curved sides and a strange design on the chrome tip. I replaced it with a fabspeed set and don't like the sound as much as the mystery set. The fabspeed is much prettier and heavier and the car seems to run better off idle, back pressure is higher maybe, better for the stock ICU? The sound of the fabspeeds is driving me a little crazy, I drive the car a lot. The mystery set was actually louder, raspier, with your foot in it, and somehow nicer in cruise. I'd be glad to put up with a little less torque off idle to get rid of this head thruming buzz at variuos cruise speeds. What were those light, not so well made stainless cans with the funny thing on the tip that looked like a backdrop from District 9?

POST 3Original post

funny little triangle usually means tequipment or German... are u sure its aftermarket and not pse? which do sound better than Fabspeed... but thats another story.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the help redridge. The orig paper idicates it was installed at the dealer in 99', i just assumed that without a prominant P part # it was aftermarket, and the shape within the triangle looks like it might be a stylized T. I'm taking to a dealer and see what they say.
