Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

For the first time since February 2001, I am without a Porsche. I hated to sell, but the recession has taken it's toll on my business (residential construction). However, I definitely plan to get back in once the economy recovers. My 996 was an incredibly good car, but I suspect a 997 Cab might be next in my garage. 996's rock!

POST 2Original post

Sorry to hear that. I hope it gets better soon. Any signs of improvement?

POST 3Original post

Sorry to hear it also. Good luck and hope to see another Porsche in your garage soon.

POST 4Original post

Sorry to hear that, I feel your pain, you're not alone. Many others are suffering.

POST 5Original post

Sorry to hear that. Must be tough to sell it, the 996 is a great car. Good luck. Tony C

POST 6Original post

Hang in there. Just think of it as being "between Porsches."

POST 8Original post

POST 9Original post

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the sentiments, everyone. I will definitely have another Pcar in the not too distant future. There's just nothing else out there like the 911.

POST 11Original post

gl with the business..... post pics of the new ride, you may have it sooner than you think.

POST 12Original post

Business is so bad that you're getting rid of your 996... for a 997. Wish my business was as "bad". I kid, I kid...

LOL. Unfortunately there will probably be 12-18 months between the two.... I'm looking for a used late model GTI as a weekend runner for the interim.

POST 14Original post

Kevin, sorry to hear about the 996. Been there.... done that!

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey, Tim, yeh I thought about you...... I figured if you could handle selling, I could too! But, I had this car for 5-1/2 years, so it was time for something different anyway. I just hated to sell it because it was such a good car, and performed so well. I don't feel bad about it though. I do feel for Andy and his wife.
