This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Had the Targa parked for about two weeks started her up yesterday, tried to open the top but a no go. I hear no electric motors. Though is either toggle switch is bad or a fuse. Yet there is not indication on the fuse pullout that a fuse for the Targa Top exists. Car is still under warranty but I am currently commuting per plane during the week and can't get the car to dealer. (50 miles away). Any thoughts guys.

POST 2Original post

Just one thought. There's a sensor that keeps the Targa top from moving if the hatch is not secured completely. You might try opening and closing the hatch a time or two, to make sure that it's firmly closed.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Caf, Thanks for the suggestion but that was the very first thing I tried as this is acting as if the hatch is open. I guess I will drop it of at the dealer next Sunday night and pick it up on the next Saturday when I return. This might be a good time to get them to fit PSE. Deon.

POST 4Original post

Let Us know how you make out, I have yet to have a problem with mine. I will keep my fingers crossed amigo

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

All, It was the microswitch after all. Because I have been travelling I have not had time to look (or get to dealer) further. Early this morning I opened the rear hatch cleaned everything that I thought might trigger the switch. Closed the hatch and viola the Targa Top now slides back. For now it will work but will still take it to the dealer to check it out. Deon.

POST 6Original post

Thanks for the follow-up. Information I'll file away in the back of my head, but hopefully never need! Where is this microswitch located, by the way?
