Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

About to take my 02 996 in for the 45k service and some warranty work. Any suggestions between these dealerships. Also, any info regarding loan cars would be great too. Thanks!! My choices: Auto Gallery [have a reservation but the earliest they could do the work is next Monday] Beverly Hills Porsche Rusnak Westlake Rusnak Pasadena Thanks again! Sanjay

POST 2Original post

I have used both Auto Gallery (once) and Rusnak Westlake Village (several times) with completely satisfactory results for both service and warranty work. Rusnak WLV is my preferred shop due to its proximity to my home and place of work. Rick is the Rusnak Porsche service advisor that I've dealt with for 5 years, and he always treats me with utmost respect, keeps me well informed on status of vehicle, and is just a very nice guy. Regarding loaners: Auto Gallery gave me a Boxster which was fun; Rusnak has provided a string of Enterprise GM/ Chrysler/ Jeep/ Chevrolet rental vehicles. Always no charge.

POST 3Original post

Call Brian Lewey at Mckenna Porsche [phone removed]. A little bit away but he gets it done and quick

POST 4Original post

I've used Rusnak Pasadena, Beverly Hills, Auto Gallery and Porsche of Downtown L.A. I would recommend Downtown L.A., as they're easiest to get an appointment on short notice and their rates beat everyone else's. Aside from that, I have had mostly good experiences with all of them.

POST 5Original post

I'll second Downtown L.A. Generally better prices. In addition, their primary tech, Dennis, is considered one of the top Porsche wrenches in the country.

POST 6Original post

My experience with Downtown is good, however I would avoid Rusnak like the plague. I never serviced a Porsche there, but a Mercedes and they were not accomidating towards waranty work. They did not want to even call MBUSA to see if they would cover it. The funny thing is that I took the car to Downtown and they took care of it.

POST 7Original post

Another option is Newport Auto Center. My car was maintained there by the previous owner for the past 5 years. I talked with them at lenght and they seemed to good. It may be too far but just a thought.
