Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If so, are there any modifications needed? I have a friend that has both a 996 turbo and a boxster. He has after market rims for his turbo and wants to trade me his spare turbo rims for my carrera lightweights. He wants to put the lightweights on his boxster. Sorry, I've tried using the search but I'm stuck using dial-up today and the search times out everytime. Thanks in advance, Russ

POST 2Original post

I'll assume you do know the dif bet hollows & not hollow Turbo twists.........on the those wheels wkg on your car........no problem up front (in fact I'd put a 7-10 mm spacer myself to bring the offset from 50 to 43 just for looks).........the rear of that 11J wheel has a 45mm offset (your Carerras are 65mm but are also 10Js).........bottom line is they may be out there further than you like (adding an inch means subtracting at least another 10mm as comparo to your present) ......pretty agressive stance. My suggestion is to not move on that until you'seen a pic of that rear on a reg 996......my guess is you won't like it.

POST 3Original post

I would not do the trade the Lightweights are lighter and have the propper offset. I actually think the Carrera rims look better.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll keep what I already have. Russ
