Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My car has been sitting for about 3 weeks, and when I got in it today to go for a drive the digital read out (odo, mph, and obc) where not working, and the tach and speedo where also not working, any advise before visiting the dealer would be great. Thanks Matt S.

POST 2Original post

While you're pondering that problem, consider my gauge problem also (at least I think it's a problem). My oil pressure gauge often bounces between 0 and 5 (min and max) while driving (though sometimes it actually rests somewhere in the middle which, I assume, is where it should be). Sometimes when it hits 0, I get a warning announced on my OBC. When I last took the car in to the dealer, they acted like this was not a problem. I think the sensor needs replaced. Any other opinions?

POST 3Original post

Funkky check the fuses as it seems you have no electricity going to the guages. You also might have some type of short which need to be seen by the dealer. Chasman I think you problem is probably a sensor, I would check the dipstick to make sure your oil level is right just to have peice of mind that its a guage problem and not an oil problem. The only other thing that can be wrong is a loose or bad conection at the sensor or guage, or either there is a short in the sensor wire.
