Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I had already cleaned out the front of the condensers with a shop vac, but did not realize how much crap got in between the rad.
Leading evidence: 'Clean already' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean already' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. After using the vacuum, we used a garden hose with a pressure nozzle.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Decided to tackle this last nite. Very easy to do. Had no trouble with any screw or clips or anything. What a satisfying task to complete.
I had already cleaned out the front of the condensers with a shop vac, but did not realize how much crap got in between the rad. and cond.
Hit it with some foamy engine degreaser and let sit for about 15min. then hit it with the hose and a pretty high pressure setting. Very dirty!
There was so much hair and it stunk bad that I was waiting for something dead to fall out. No fun surprises just a lot of schmutz!!!
This will be a yearly thing for me now that I know how easy it is to do!
...just did mine also.
I was having major overheating problems at the track, but everything seemed fine on the street. I did this last yr. also, but I drive year-round, so apparently it must be done once per year for me.
Removing the bumper is pretty easy, it involve removing a lot of plastic fasteners and screws. I think the wheel well liners IIRC. It's big and awkward though and usually if you have a friend to help take one side off you don't have to worry about damaging the paint or dropping it.
There is a good DIY thread on front bumper removal over in renntech in the diy post on how to add a third radiator.
Someone if you have it post the pic with the person that found a bird in their radiator.
You do not have to remove the wheel liners. Turn the wheels in one direction first then you can get at everything you need to.
There is a video on you tube also. Search for porsche 996 bumper removal. Very simple job. Just be careful not to break any of the plastic bits, clips etc... Too much plastic on cars these days IMO!
A good 6 pack and a couple hours will make you very satisfied!
I followed the "You Tube" video. It was easy. Two people made it go fast and did help with the actual bumper removal.
Note: a vacuum is not enough. After using the vacuum, we used a garden hose with a pressure nozzle. LOTS of fine sand, plus little rocks, etc flushed out.
