Santa just recently replaced my Honda CRX "A-to-B car" with a Porsche.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

With a little help from my lovely wife, Santa brought me new center caps. She even helped him with the 20 percent PCA holiday discount at the dealership ;-)
A new key remote...that would be great mine was broken
Sometimes she can really have so good idea she is still surprising me after 22 years together
Merry Christmas to all of you Porsche fan
Robert
Me???
I got another f%@#ing lump of coal, because I still have the Honda!
Hell, even parts that don't fit would be better than that!
Merry Christmas, ED!
Hey, I think Santa left my gifts at your house. HAHA
I got a new lambs wool wash mit. I guess I shouldn't complain, after all I was pretty bad this year.
Marc, maybe you haven't waited long enough. You wife mentioned something about getting some "Porsche Panties" and ...... well, you figure out the rest!
BTW, they look nice on her.... er .... I mean..... I would
imagine
that they look nice on her!
Merry Christmas to all!
Damn, I knew it! This just proves that Santa's Elves are still using a "card filing system" instead of a computer database. Damn it Santa, you screwed up another delivery!!
Oh yeah, and one more thing...... Damn Newbies!!!!
That is very kind of you!!!
On the other hand, ED, who has a whole warehouse full of parts that won't fit any year or model of Porsche, didn't offer me squat!!!
That was the 1st thing I thought of when I saw your post. BTW...I have been looking at caliper paint.....you had a nice write up 4 years ago when you did yours. Sorry to hijack.
Thanks. It was not that difficult. If you use the brush-on paint, make sure you get a 1" bristle brush because the brush that comes with the Dupli-Color paint is very stiff and small.
You may also want to consider painting yout "top hats" at the same time. I also did a write up on painting those. Do an Advanced search on "top hat" (singular) in the Tiitle.
The speed yellow 996 C4S was brought home as an early Christmas gift in November. Then my bride (er Santa) had a yellow P-crest key fob, a Porsche golf bag and a black "Carrera" T-shirt under the tree. Not trading in either of them (the wife and the 996).

Mine is getting an oil change, brake flush, headlight washers fixed and a new serpentine belt and water pump as proactive maintenance. (Just meat and vegetables...no candy this year.)
We if I do not count the New Water Pump - which we will call "preventive care" installed when we got the thermostat to replace the Missing one...
I will look at the PORSCHE Photo Story Book by Schleglmitch & Lehbrink I picked up at Costco as gift from Me to Me. And my dear wife (Santa) provided a Porsche Calendar with a Silver 996 C4 on the first page to brighten my days.
Merry Christmas to all And we wish you all a New Year with no IMS stories
Nice.
Santa was pretty generous in our neck of the woods and certainly had a discussion with Ferry Porsche.
Santa gave my 996 a voucher for a PSS9 or 10 and GT3 sway bars... To be purchased and installed before the next track season. (It is also the 1 year anniversary of the car)
Santa (I) gave my mom a voucher for a short driving school on a 997 GT3 RS (She was pretty surprised. It will be her first time on a track at >60year old).

I got the Go Pro HD track cam, some valve stem caps, a Porsche jacket that I probably wont wear... lol
this cam is really cool! I cant wait to use it. :-)
Got a garage door opener for mine - no more manually opening/closing. Also, got official Porsche t-shirt & stainless steel lic. plate bracket. Overall, nice p-car gifts considering I just got the car less than a month ago.
Nailed it....reminds of the guy on the West coast that posted videos of him going 170 in his mod'd Corvette. He had for sale and wanted to show folks how fast it was. His hands were the same. Oh....and the vid put him in jail.
my christmas wasnt too good. My girlfriend broke up with me a few days before christmas, i couldnt even tell you what even happened to spark it with her, all we had was a small argument that she blew up on me for and ended it. I love her a lot so it has made things pretty difficult. even pulling the 911 and driving it everywhere hasn't helped much at all.
At least she was not your wife! Last Christmas day ,my best friend (friends for sense we were 5 y/o) had his wife tell him she was not happy and wanted a divorce! She moved out 2 days later... it will be final this April.
you answered the question that was not asked, "How anyone would do that to another person they care about..." They really did not care!
Get thru the Holdiay and remember she will be the one looking back going... Crap! Why did I do that!
Cheers,
Better off finding out now, than later. I spent 13 years with a girl before she told me she never loved me and left. Be glad you didnt waste too much time. Lots o fish out there. Get back on the horse. :-)
Agreed, wise advice. I've been exactly where you describe, and mine cost me a mortgage-free house, a car, retirement savings and $12,000 in legal fees. These things are very hard and sad, but if it's broken it's broken. Everybody is better off finding out sooner. If your situation is anything like mine, 2011 will be the best year of your life.
Sorry to hear this buddy. Keep your head up and try not to get too down about it. It will get easier over time and you will emerge from this stronger and with a hotter and better suited GF. Trust me.
Some late additions to my original post:
1. New ContiSportContact 2s for the front - thanks to mother in law (seriously!) and Damon at Tire Rack for helping to sort out the options.
2. A book I had never heard of before: Porsche by Ranier Schlegelmilch, the longtime Christophorous photographer. Has amazing photos up through the 997.
She gave you the best gift of all.....getting rid of the B!tch.
I know it hurts we have all been there, some of us even cried a bit, but after a while the pain goes away and you realize when something better comes along, she did you a favor. Be happy....your cash isnt goin with her too.
my gf broke up with me after thanksgiving I met her mother and thought everything was great.
Come to find out she is an escort and drug addict

dudes, this thread reads like a bunch of 4 year olds !!!
AWESOME!
bald kitty - DOTY sounds cool, WOW @ MSOG, man Urban dictionary is cool because I dont feel SOOOO stupid (even thopugh i know better) - I am book marking that site
kidding, I am not even smart enough to pick up a girl off that site. its true - once I tried to pick up a street girl with a friend in high school and we couldnt even figure out how.... never tried again - what an idiot!
she called me from a different number one time, and i didn't answer and I googled it, and guess what came up?
She actually gave me large amounts of money to "hold" for her after a night of working. Never has she asked for any of that money and she left a pair of diamond earrings on my nightstand.
So I guess I came out ahead
Yah right till she questions why you don't let her know you have it. Or she returns to pick the stuff up late some night with somebody else.
This is pobably the best place to say pic or it never happened
1/8" 6061 - took WAY more effort than I had in me to bend the drivers side!
Yea the wood had become delaminated and Rennlines are like $200 for the set, thought I would give it a go - not something I could sell, but fine for my little hunny
awe - I made these at home.... yea... that's right, with my dremel
Jon - they just hang on the top and have a single nut on the bottom (stock mounting points)
Took my sweety for a spin today and that bright red dress looked amazing in the sunlight - she's a hot one....I havent driven it in over a week and I had a fresh coat of speed shine - sweet!
Nice! Way to go using stock mounting points! I miss driving mine,,,, but there is too much salt on the roads for me. Saw a lot of em commin out of the woodwork today though!
I washed the suburban and I mean I washed it good even the underside, even after that when we lowered the windows and put em back up the salt was streaking on them. Really a lot on the pass and we went up lots of times. I wish they would just let the snow be. It melts natuarly and costs nothing to melt if you just let it - push it to the sides is fine, but the chemicals and salts are terrible
