Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
dont change the hood crest to silver - esp on a 40th - IMO even though it is reversible a 40th should stay fairly true to its "as-built" state - I vote no (just me)

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Thinking of switching hood crest to silver. But, i think a silver crest with gold ones on the wheels may look a bit odd. The problem is I cannot seem to find any silver crest wheel caps that match my 40th Anniversaries shot-blasted and polished wheel finish.
Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?
I have looked online with not much luck.
this is an opinion

LOL, I am kinda inclined to agree with you guys. I just thought might look nice as my car is silver and the one on there now has a lost one of the red bars.
On a side note (pun intended) just orders some FisterD mufflers
WTG on the fister's
There are 2 OEM crests offered at sunset. One is about $50 and the other is about $120 IMO the higher priced one is worth every penny. The chaep one has no depth or features, its flat and boring
I did have it but all the paperwork went with the car when I sold it.... when you call Sunset they will offer you one of two... just dig deep and get the more $ one.... If you live by a dealer or know someone with a newer car (997 +) you can look at the "new on" looks cheap IMO... well, it looks fine on the 997's but back date it and it looks really poor
Maybe Eric at Bumperplugs could paint some wheel caps with the black/silver crest to closely match your wheels. They also have the silver hood crests.
You want to make sure "your rug matches the curtains."
The 2000 C4's came with Silver Crests on the hood and steering wheel. The Carrera script was also Silver and the Calipers where also Silver. Not sure if the 1999 or other C4s where like this or if it was a "Millennium" special. The wheel caps where silver but did not have crest - instead had "C4". Not sure what Porsche pricing on any of this old stuff would be.
