Also, does anyone know approximately how much it would be for paint & installation, & can recommend me a good body shop in San Diego that'll do it?

Then I would add the wing, it looks like you have aero bumper and skirts, after those mods done, I would think about changing wheels or wheel colors.

But nonetheless, I do want to change the wheels though.

MASHAW makes a very nice repro of the wing, Personally I would consider the MASHAW wing but I am only going to use a factory bumper.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This is my car:
I'm wondering if I should make it look like this:
Or maybe even with blue pinstripes on the lip?
...What do you guys think?? My Photoshop skills aren't too great, but just try to imagine it in real life, lol. I'm debating on doing it or not.
Your current look is what I would call, "Classy". The first re-make says, "Racing" and I like the smoke tail lights and runners, if it is legal.
If you go that way, I think you need to add a wing, at least. Lose the P badge on side.
I am going with black (nearly identical) wheels for the track with my Meteor Gray
Raph:
I like wheels either way, as is, or black without PS.
However, my advice to you would be to FIRST put a few bucks into lowering the car before you do anything else that will give it #1 greater stability and #2 a much more agressive stance. Then I would add the wing, it looks like you have aero bumper and skirts, after those mods done, I would think about changing wheels or wheel colors.
Best of luck it's a nice looking car.
Not sure about all black but I would be curious to see black wheels with a big silver lip or something..
All black is totally not doing it...looks like a camry wheel after it has lost its plastic covering.
Agree with the others I don't feel pics 2 & 3... keep it as is... use the money instead for treating yourself to a 2-day performance driving course at the Porsche Driving Experience.
Have a look at mfig's car for the black wheel on similar color (his I believe is darker)
If you do paint, consider doing white, on your color it will look very interesting. If you do go to black, consider keeping he lip polished (only paint center)
I don't like Scuderia shields on Ferraris, have never seen on a Porsche
I actually learned something from Ben Choi - black and blue do not work together except on all out race cars.
The Porsche badge is a big hell no!!!!!!!
Your car is looks really clean the way it is
Here is a picture of my iris blue car with black Kinesis wheels. I was not sure if the black & blue combo would work (especially after Ben insisted it wouldn't). I get lots of compliments on the black wheels. The black wheels would look even better with your lighter shade of blue.
Okay, okay, sorry. I'll leave the fender badges to Ferrari, lol. Better? I want to add the GT3 style wing as well, but I didn't know how to do that on Photoshop. Just try to imagine it as a whole... & do you guys think it's worth it to spend the extra cash on the factory wing? Or should I just get an aftermarket replica? Also, does anyone know approximately how much it would be for paint & installation, & can recommend me a good body shop in San Diego that'll do it? Thanks!
Raphael, your car looks great with the black wheels and no side emblem. I shopped for a while and found a factory GT3 tail from a fellow Rennlister at a great price. From what I have read, you don't want to install a GT3 tail without the matching front bumper due to high speed instability.
Here is another option on the side emblem.
Do you have any pics of your car with the wing installed yet?? I bet it looks great. Well hopefully I can find a whole kit at a good price. Do you know any sites where I can find a used kit?? I want the MKII kit since mine is a MY02, & I even need the side skirts, since for some reason mine has the MKI skirts... Ya, the side decals do look good, but only on a car with the aerokit.
I'm looking to do a MKII Aerokit as well an my 02, it also has the MK1 skirts from the factory, they are on the option sticker and dealer says they are correct. odd!
Been looking all over for a decent price on a used GT3 bumper, missed out an a couple. MASHAW makes a very nice repro of the wing, Personally I would consider the MASHAW wing but I am only going to use a factory bumper.
Raphael, I have not installed my aerokit yet. It is going to cost me $2,000 to have mine painted, along with the hood and tops of the front fenders (no more rock chips). I'm enjoying mine as-is for now, while I save my pennies.
I found all my OEM Aero components here and on Ebay.
That looks great as is without the aero kit. The blacked out tail lights and "clear markers" actually matches the black wheels. Nice way to pull that together.
I would spend money on a B&M SSK and PSS10s next.
Because I am in an area where snow is no joke, all black wheels just look like winter wheels to me.
At the bare minumum.... leave the lip polished aluminum.
Ever think of a gun metal grey instead of black? Again.... polished lip.
Alright everyone, don't kill me, lol. It's just originally I wanted a black car, with black wheels, black tail lights, basically black everything, lol, & an aerokit. You know, the evil, agressive, race look. So everyone on the freeway moves out of the way when I'm coming. But I ended up getting this blue one 'cause I got a good deal, & thought it was a very nice type of blue which I don't see often.
But nonetheless, I do want to change the wheels though. I want 18's, I heard they last way longer & there's more tire options.
I'm considering these:

They're replicas of the 997 sport design, but in 18"
What do you guys think? & has anyone bought from this company before??
I also think the HRE P40's look really nice. At Pioneer Porsche, I saw a 997 S in Mexico Blue with matte black P40's, & damn, that was a hot looking car. Does anyone know of anything very similiar, but way cheaper??

Black centers with a ring of natural aluminum (painted, polished, anodized, etc) looks the best. (Just like the Fuchs of old.) Complete black wheels with black just creates a black hole in the wheel wells. Too much black. Not enough visual contrast.
I find black rims go well when a car is a tuned car with aggressive body work. In the case of your car it is still the classic shape and i would tend to keep it "classic"... or maybe the word I am looking for is "classy"
