Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I liked that kenwood install it looks very very clean much like the eom pcm which is probably the most desirable look, that and you don't have to deal with the flip out-

right there is an inverse lighting switch as well as auto to work with the headlights to change the backgrounds lighting etc.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

well, it has been a wild week. traded the C4s coupe in for a cayenne turbo. held the cayenne turbo for a short time and traded it in for a C4s cab (with GT3 wheels).
cab has everthing i want except navigation.
is it possible to add navi? any idea how much?
thanks a bunch.
pictures of the cab to follow.

aftermarket is the way to go post hoc. It is a nightmare and way $$$ to add PCM. There have been some really great NAV installs posted here in the past. The two best I have seen posted are the AVICN1 (Pioneer) which is a 1 DIN in dash with a motorized screen that flips up. The other great install was a 6" or so Nav screen that was fixed and the DVD drive in the trunk (Alpine setup).
I installed a single din Blaupunkt DX-R70 system. Cost me 300 ($500) from ebay. An excellent
unit and I recommend it. It's only problem is it cannot be used with the dension ice ipod connect
despite dension saying it can.

Your dealer can sell you the same unit branded with the Porsche logo for more money.
I installed it this weekend. You can manually set the screen color to black/amber to exactly match the Porsche gauges. Otherwise, the default color is amber background w/ black lettering when the headlights are off ... and the inverse when the dash is illuminated with the headlights on.
Does anybody know if the Traffic Pro will fit in the storage shelf below the CD storage. I am thinking about just adding the Traffic Pro and keeping my CDR-23, because I have the MOST system.
Thanks
I liked the Kenwood because of the performnace of the NAV system, very intuitive and the options of the Audio section. All is very well integrated in one unit, and it also plays Video DVD's and has inputs for iPod or Playstation etc..if you are into that. Also is Sirius compatible so you just buy the module and antenna...Oh and I thought it looked the most like a Factory system...In fact no one notices that it says Kenwood at the bottom. The Avic N1 is a nice deck, but I didn't want the motorized face that flips out and then up...It looks too delicate.
Traffic Pro all the way for me. Not sure if I would actually use it, but that kenwood looks like a nice install and the DVD capability would nice to have ...
If you don't need it built in then there are many, many options out there.
I currently have a Garmin GPS V which I use in the car and on the motorcycle (since it is totally waterproof). It is smalle enough to put in your pocket and has the advantage that you can take it with you when you fly somewhere and use it in a rental car.
I will probably be upgrading soon to the Garmin Quest which seems to be basically the same but with a lot more memory, USB port (instead of a Sloooow serial), voice prompts and is in color. Retail price for these is around $650 including software.

I did the install myself in an afternoon.....If you are a little handy then you can do it. My wife was in shock seeing our new Porsche's interior in pieces, but one it got put back together she loved it. Then asked..."Where did you learn to do that?"...In the bay area, hmmmm....not sure, but look at some authorized Kenwood dealers, ask them if they have done Porsche's and to see pics....You have to move the Heating and AC controls to the bottom if they are not there already, and this requires a $6 part from the dealer for the bezel. rerouting the wires took, 15 minutes. The stereo then went in pretty easy, it was a mattar of cutting one piece...(which can be purchased from the dealer if you wanna pull it out someday) which opens up the space from 2 single din spaces to 1 double din space. Then wire into the existing stereo in my case, no MOST...wires just match up, power ground audio ins and suff...secure the frame push the unit in...put it all back together...Being careful, it took me about 3 hours. This was because the stereo that was in there before was not wired properly so I had to do some research as to what wires did what. Then there is a tap into the e-Brake switch for the DVD...It's designed not to play the video signal of the DVD as long as the parking brake is disengaged. An easy think to rig...but it's not like I wanna watch movies while I drive....All in all I am 100% satisfied with it, and the audio quality is a BIG step up from factory.
Thanks - you answered all my aftermarket nav questions.
So they next question is - Did you wire directly into a harness - or did you add an amp as well?
I'm not looking to bump the trunk...(er front trunk), but was the sound better than stock/blose w/o an amp?
I'm looking for an 02-03 turbo.
