Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

could be an ambiet noise mic for the self adjusting audio.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust audio' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust audio' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all
I have read many times on this board how the Mic in our car is just a cover and not there....................why does mine have one, no cell system, what is it?
Is this the best place to put the mic for a handsfree kit? I have a bluetooth kit on order and was wondering if I should put the mic in this spot or somewhere up in the visor. I have a coupe but with GHL it can be a little loud at time so naturally want the best mic placement.
I've read that the spot next to the center gauges is the best spot but it just seems so far away from my mouth and head that I have a hard time believing it.. Any thoughts?
hey kilrgt,
of the topic question for you. I have the loud version of GHL alike yours. the sound is a bit irregular with some poping around 2-3 RMP for a few minutes in the morning during slow drive/warming up in the morning, then everythin's fine after that. Do you experience the same behavior?
Thanks
Kilrgt: additionaly to what bavarian suggested
, the mic in the Bose system, while the AudioPilot is active, provides cabin ambient noise feedback to the stereo system, which in turn regulate/compensates the audio signal quality through an automatic equalization process, with the interest of providing the best signal quality possible. It does so in terms of regulating the volume level, as well as the bass and treble spectrum range settings (based on the initial user settings).
