Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I heard that they have been known for throwing a CEL. Can anyone confirm or deny this claim? I amalso interested in knowing if this is a worth while mod. Responses from technically savy individuals would be nice. Thanks! Chad

Thanks Loren...(pssst...that's where I got the idea from.) I thought some of the guys here might have one. Chad

POST 4Original post

Back a while ago Excellence did an article where the EVO air box actually made less HP than the stock box. The company responded by that the engine needs to be driven to get cold air in the system and that they changed the design of the air box to make it better. IMO I really don't think that the air box will benifit you much, and given there is one result with less HP I would not spend $400 for this mod.

POST 5Original post

I have a EVO intake on my car... I bought it with it already on, so unfortunately I haven't had much experience with it. No problems whatsoever. I'm not sure about the loss of HP, but I find that hard to believe. The previous owner ran it on a dyno and got pretty good results (mind you I have an exhaust, chip and headers as well). He's on the board (bill911), great guy... I'm sure he can share a better experience than I can...
